Summary: The most real vision of mankind reality
Review: I think it's the best book I've ever read. I watched the motion picture but it has no even the middle part of itself. Thanks to Stephen King of writing this kind of books so the people could see what kind of things a man can do

Summary: This book leaves you wondering what happens next.
Review: This book leaves you wondering what
happened to Frannie and Stu and all
the rest after the final pages
write themselves to a close. This is
the first book by Stephen King I've
ever read and it got me hooked.
This version (as opposed to the 500
page original) has so much more
depth. This book draws you into the
travels of its characters. You
really start to feel the dreams of
Stuart Redman and you can almost
smell the corn feilds. You can get
so enthralled in this book that you
lose all track of time and even
sometimes reality. I found this
book very hard to put down and
finished it in three days. I am now
reading it again just to catch all
the little intrcacies I missed on
the first reading. I never use the
word "classic" in passing and I want
it understood that when I call this
book a classic, I mean it with every
fabric of my being. If you are a
fan and haven't read it yet, I
heavily suggest you do. I'll bet my
copy of THE STAND that you'll never
want to put it down.

Summary: an american classic
Review: this is the ONLY book I have read
more than once. Sure, its long, but
its simply one of the best stories
ever written. Its certainly the
best I have personally read and
I've read a lot. I just want to
thank Stephen King for The Stand. I
am not a horror novel reader, but
this book came highly recommended.
This novel does not remain in any
boundaries. It is so much more than
a Stephen King horror book, it is an
American classic. I cannot recommend
this book any higher. Do yourself a favor and TRY it.

Summary: Best book Ive ever read
Review: I admit it, I saw the miniseries first (I absolutely loved it!) so I had to get the book. When I first got the book it seemed overwhelming, Ive never read a book that long in my life. But Im so glad that I did read this book! The book goes into great detail about each character and their situation. It was so cool how the book had a different ending than the miniseries. I began reading the book knowing how it was gonna end, but I was really surprised with the ending. Fran,Nick, and Tom are the best characters in the book. Anyway,I recommend this book to anyone out there who likes suspensful stories. Its honestly the best book Ive ever read.

Summary: This is a very good book
Review: I read this book and saw the movie they were very different from each other but in a way they were the same. The movie was very long(4 movieslong)
I would like to meet Stephen King in person.

Summary: Coats on Bikes
Review: S.K.-- I recall the original (though it may have been "Plague Dogs")version had a scene where the heroes were riding and a plastic raincoat one was wearing got tangled up in a wheel causing a hillarious wreck. If so, was scene deleted from revision to reconcile with actual current circumstances of "witness"? G.A.H.

Summary: My favorite book
Review: This is the best book I have ever read. Definitely King's best work. The characters in the book had real depth and personality. Even though it is very long by the end I wished it had been longer. The Stand is not a "horror" book, but it will get you thinking about deadly diseases.

Summary: One Of The Best.
Review: This book is a work of the many trials and tribulations that all must go through. It does all this with a keen grasp of humanity that is at once beautiful and startling. The characters are you and me. They are our neighbors, our freinds, our mirror images. This signifigant fact is what pulls the reader into this novel and doesn't let go until the world is safe again (maybe). The survival of these protagonists is the cornerstone of the voice of this country. They will perservere. They must so that good can, as all want to believe, conquere evil. These heroes are who we want to be. Who we wish we were. The heroes want there new world to be all that we, the reader, want it to be, a utopia. The villains are the newspaper stories that we read everyday. They are the embodiment of all that is wrong in our society. Thus, even in the supernatural depictments of some of the characters, they are believable. The villians also capture the readers emotions, taking them on a personal journey where we want the villians to lose just as bad as the protagonists want them to. THE STAND takes us on a wonderous ride that sees dreams born, people change, and visions of terror that will not soon leave our minds. Who is the master that takes us there - none other than Stephen King in one of the best books ever written in all time.

Summary: A Great book
Review: This book was very exciting and it never lost my interest. Even the beginning of the book is exciting, It is a classic tale of good vs. evil in the modern setting a good Stephen King novel. It is a story of a flu that infects the United States and eventually kills the people who get it "And that means 99.4% excess mortality, because the human body couldn't produce the antibodies necessary to stop a constantly shifting antigen virus" (30). Certain people don't catch the flu though. These people start having dreams of an old lady in Nebraska or a dar man. The people then go to join the person in their dreams.

Summary: The completest story
Review: I saw the series twice ina local tv broadcaster and well, love it, and told me that I have to buy the book. In a trip to the States I did it, and start read it, even dou the 1150 pages, and the small letter will make it bigger, so it will be really a big job to do it. As I start reading the prologue of Stephen King. I knew that this was the novel, and the edition, that is not the one of the movie, (becouse we all know that almost all the King's Books, and some of all the books, that have their movie, the adaptation really suck, specially in the ending)and reading all the difference, start getting more and more in the plot and, then after a long and full of joy time of reading I finished. WOW! ending, plot, everything, is a complete, and wonderfull story, for reading fans, and fans for a long and complete novel (I mean by background of the persons in the plot, fully details, etc... ) Its like living what the book said
