Summary: THE BEST BOOK EVER
Review: Man, oh man, oh man. King really made a classic out of this one. Tremendous character, brilliant writing, and the great plot line are what make this book great. After reading the book and finding it absolutely spectacular, watch the movie.

Summary: Tremendous
Review: I've read 'The Stand' several times, and each time I wished it weren't over, despite the length. The sense of adventure in this book rivals that of any great adventure story. The characters are so real you would swear that you know them, the plot hooks you in and never lets go, the scope is breathtaking, and the ending is completely satisfying. As with most of Stephen King's stories, the real horror comes from his ability to make you believe it could really happen. Anyone who has read this book knows that Stephen King is about so much more than horror - and like all of his books, it's the journey that counts, not the destination.

Summary: King's Greatest Work, told by a 16 year-old!!!
Review: I began the book then put it down. When I began to read it again, I realized what I missed! This is an extravagent book, and even though I'm only 16 it was King's most INCREDIBLE book! The heat starts when "Captain Trips" slowly begins to take it's victims, then came the battle between Good and Evil. Mother Abigail played a most stunning character. I loved the ending, but I was so sad I was done! I read the book over and over. It gives you an incredible sense thats impossible to explain to someone who hasn't read it. If your reading this, Mr.King, I LOVE THIS BOOK!!!!

Summary: I threw mine 18 metres with wind assistance
Review: I heartily agree with the reviewers who find this book, too long, too dull and too boring. Luckily the bookshops on Khao San Road do trade-ins. Am I the only person in the world to think that Randall Flagg is the most tiresome bad guy ever to appear in print. What is King's obsession with this guy ? Let's have more psycho nurses with blow-torches Mr King and less adding another 500 pages of drivel to an already drivel filled book. Riveting, is something I'd rather do than read this again.

Summary: THE BEST BOOK I EVER READ!
Review: I don't care how much you like "The Hunt for Red October" by Tom Clancy, or "A Time To Kill" by John Grisham, or "Jaws" by Peter Benchley. All of these are masterpieces, but none are as great as the classic "The Stand." "The Stand" is the most captivating and gripping book I ever read!

Summary: The Best Story Ever Told
Review: THE STAND, my all time favorite book. I have read this book over and over, no matter how many times; I love it. It is the ultimate story of how the world could end, and good vs evil. The characters are so real, I feel like I know them. When I read this novel, I hate coming to the end; I become so enthraweled with the characters. If the reader can just forget how thick this book is and just start reading, you would be surprised how easy it is to read, and wish is was longer. I also saw the movie and loved it also; the actors chosen did a fine job. I think this is the best work Mr King has done. Just read THE STAND

Summary: Oh boy...
Review: I'll make this quick because the book was so long. The book is good for the fist couple of hundred pages. After that, you will be amazed by stupid characters who die pointlessly.

Summary: The end of the world as only Stephen King can tell it
Review: Next to the Dark Tower series, this is King's best work. Wonderfully written, and full of the imagery that turned me into a King fan. King does something that no writer has ever done to me, made me smile. I've never cared more for characters in a book. I could barely put this book down.

The book is a bit long, but its worth the read. I sincerely doubt this book could have been done in any other way. Though you may need a couple weeks free to read it. Once again well worth it.

Chilling, and beautifull at the same time. Read this book.

Summary: King's best since MISERY.
Review: The story is horrific . . . mankind obliterated by a super virus. Now, with 99% of the human population dead, the few survivors form two groups, the Good: in Boulder, Colorado. And the Bad, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The characters are well made and I will remember them forever . . . especially Tom Cullen, Stu Redman, Mother Abagail, and, of course, Randall Flagg: the Dark Man. Many say the book is too long, and for some it may just be . . . but for me it wasn't long enough! I could read it forever, with Stephen King countinusly writing it . . . forever! This book is his best . . . matched only by MISERY.
