Summary: Incredible
Review: The truth is, I could not find one bad thing to say about this book. It is so realistic, the action virtually comes to life in your mind. The overwhelming message I get out of it is hope - that people will always try to get back on their feet after any blow, no matter how bad. The only criticism i have is aimed at eh movie - it stuck pretty close to the book, but there were still many details - small and non-essential to the plot but very fascinating - that were cut due to time constraints. To do the story justice, it should have been much longer - maybe as many as ten episodes or more. As for the book - it is pure perfection.

Summary: Stephen King's masterpiece
Review: This is probably the best book Stephen King had ever written. Although the book has over a thousand pages (in the Dutch language anyway) and the film lasts for 6 hours, you still feel like you mis a part of the story. Stephen King may not agree with me, but this is by far his best book yet.

Summary: History.
Review: King's most amazing work ever. Most books of this length have so much that could have been cut and you would still have the same story, but with The Stand the cut version was nowhere near as good as the uncut. if evan one word more was taken away the story would be nowhere.

Summary: My Favorite Book of All Time
Review: I've never been a Stephen King reader until I saw part of this movie, then I had to buy the book. What a great book. At first look the length was indimidating but when I started reading it, I could not put it down! And the first part was so realistic that I almost panicked when someone around me coughed! Fabulous read. Buy it in hardback...it's one you'll want to keep for your library!

Summary: Can't It Be MORE Than FIVE STARS??
Review: Simply put, this is the best book I have ever read. The story is so completely amazing! When I first saw it, I thought, "Oh, look; ANOTHER story about good vs. evil. How exciting." But it's NOT just another story about good vs. evil, it's...Astounding. Brilliant. Amazing. I can't think of any other words that say it's the best damn book ever written, so that's all I'm going to say. Oh, yeah, and one more thing. *READ THIS BOOK!!!*

Summary: For anyone who likes to read, I have 2 words:READ THIS!
Review: I found this to be one of my favorite books, and I don't even particularly like horror stories. Although it seems like a sick book,(my mother thinks it is)Stephen King has taken the end of the world to another length.Everything in the story is great. The structure, the plot, the character development, even the ending! But as oith many other books, I'd suggest you read this before you see the movie. It's so much better.

Summary: u either love it or hate it
Review: Although I am still not finished with the uncut version, (I'm on pg 1032/1141) I can safely say that this book is incredible. I have spent more than one night awake in search of Flagg's and the Free Zone's next move. This is the kind of book that quenches the thirst of a perfectionist. Every minor detailed is explored, and the reader is left with a very vivid mental, intellectual, and emotional picture of the experience of Captain Tripps. I encourage all to read this. Even if you absolutely hate King or detailed writing. I promise the story is well worth it. Yedilat Peguero

Summary: Masterpiece!
Review: THE STAND is Stephen King's literary magnum opus! . His characters are real and develop gracefully. Mr. King never fails to draw the reader's attention over and over as each separate story within the main story develops. The conclusion is literally explosive!

Summary: The Greatest Horror Story Ever Written!
Review: I read the cut version of The Stand first when I was ten years old. I had already read books like "Gone with the Wind" and "War and Peace". But I can tell anyone who is thinking about reading this or just now deciding it's too heavy--this book is one that will haunt you for the rest of your life. And maybe appreciate it just a little more. I have read this book for the past nine years at least once a year. Read it.

Summary: STEPHEN KING IS A MASTER STORYTELLER
Review: Wow! Stephen King sure knows how to tell a story. The Stand has everything in it that a book could possibly have. Steven King just has a way of you really getting to know his Characters and you turn page after to page to get to know them better and to see whats going to happen with them. The only dissapointment with this book is the ending. Rather short for how lengthy the book was. It is one of his best. (IT is his absolute best.)
