Rating: Summary: One if the best book I have read in a long time Review: This series was outstanding, Ann Rice went a step behind raw porn and provided a captivating series that made you want to continue on to find out what happened next.
Rating: Summary: Interesting, Sexy and captivating Review: This is some of the best work Anee Rice has ever done! She keeps you wanting to know what poor beauty is being put through. She keeps your interest so you have to read the next one. Although all of her books have a sensual feeling this one takes the cake! It goes beyond sensual into a story of raw sex and fantasy, yes at times Beauty has some bad luck; but she is also enjoying herself often.

Rating: Summary: "Beauty's Release": a sexy spiritual quest. Review: Because most of the erotica in "Beauty's Release" is male homosexual, the authority with which the author laid her erotic scenes made me surprised to find she was a woman. The book is no-holds-barred erotica, and celebrates that aspect of human existence. The author creates a fantasy world where sex is more predominant than in our workaday world. The inhabitants of her fantasy world are physically beautiful, sensually indulgent and sexually uninhibited and experimentative. The erotica is of the sadism and masochism (S&M) type, with its concomitant whipping, harness, submission and domination. This reaches a climax near the end of the story when the characters live as work horses and their masters. But they reflect too. They contemplate dharma (natural duty) and love, and their sensuality flows seamlessly with their questions about enlightenment and community. And it is in this that "Beauty..." rises above mere titillation, and becomes a sexy spiritual quest, like life. The book predates AIDS. The characters copulate freely with multiple partners without mention of disease, unwanted pregnancy, or condoms, but every novel requires suspension of disbelief. The writing is uneven, from ungrammatical to beautiful and meaningful.
Rating: Summary: Insightful yet disturbing erotica Review: For readers of Anne Rice's books who believe she is only two dimensional enough to write about vampires and the like, the Sleeping Beauty trilogy is an delightful, if not disturbing break from the norm.
Focusing on a fantasy world of S&M, Rice leaves the reader wondering what more can happen while at the same time upsetting their world and perhaps even their morals. For anyone who doesn't know about the reallife world of erotica perhaps their eyes will be opened wide after reading these.
Definately not for the closed minded reader
Rating: Summary: Well written if you're interested in Porno Review: I'm an avid Rice fan.... but in reading this I didn't get what I expected. Her usual storyline is suspense, horror, etc.... this was pure porno. If you are interested in reading Porn, I would definitely recommend this set. If you are interested in horror, I recommend you choose another book.
Rating: Summary: Monotonous, and Anally Fixated. One big yawn. Review: If I could possibly rate these books lower than "1" I would be more than happy to do so. I can't believe that this is the same person who gave us such awesome books as "Lasher," "Feast of All Saints," and of course, the ever-popular "Vampire Chronicles."
I enjoy erotica when it is done with flair and talent. Both the "Beauty Trilogy" and "Exit To Eden" are severely lacking in either. The "Beauty Trilogy" was so absolutely boring. The reader is clubbed over the head again and again with one cheesy S&M episode after another, until the reader becomes numb. What is it with Anne Rice and her seeming addiction to male homosexual sex, and objects inserted into the anus? (Not to mention that many of these feats are medically impossible without serious internal damage!)
If Anne Rice was reaching for the same level of controversy that "The Story of 'O'" or "Lady Chatterly's Lover" produced, she failed miserably. At least "Lady Chatterly's Lover" had literary style and some sense of a moving plot.
Perhaps Anne Rice discovered how absolutely worthless her smut-porn was, and this is why she chose to write under an assumed name...
Rating: Summary: Captivating! I couldnt put any of them down! Review: I found them one day and just decided to start reading them. I was so deep into the books that I read them all night long
Rating: Summary: Interesting to see Lestat as a human being. Review: If you can picture Tristan as the basis for Rice's Lestat character, you can understand why Lestat became as famous as he is
