Summary: I Strahd was THE best book I've ever read.
Review: It has action. It has adventure. And for all you goths it has vampires and death. It makes any thing writen by such famous writers as Anne- McAffery, and Robert Jordan look like a kiddy ride at the carnival. If you like Ravenloft or don't it does'nt matter You'll love this book. I di

Summary: Amazing book. A *must* read.
Review: Strahd, you got to love him. He was the "bad guy" in the first Ravenloft book, "Vampire of the Mists", but comes accross in a much different light this time around. I absolutely recommend this book. I've read 10 Ravenloft books so far and this is easily one of the very best, if not thee best. If you read "Vampire of the Mists" or "Knight of the Black Rose" and liked either of those, you will love this one as much or more.

Summary: Sink Your Teeth In
Review: The story of Strahd von Zarovich is indeed a chilling and emotional story. This book takes you through virtually everything that he experienced. This book, without a shadow of a doubt, is one of the best books I have ever read. I have read quite a few! A must for all Strahd fans, any vampire fan! Read and enjoy!

Summary: Elrod needs to get over herself
Review: This book defies description, it so bad. The dialogue is trite, the characters shallow, and the writing amateur. Sorry, Elrod, maybe you should go back to your day job. I'm ashamed I have bought all of Elrod's book on the advice of another author at Uncommon Con in Dallas/Fort Worth last year. I'm beginning to think she was in cahoots with Elrod to sell books for each other.

Summary: Very "Different"
Review: This book is the first book I've read that tells about a fictitious characters life. I'ts very unique for these types of books usually. I've heard of the main character(Strahd) before but this just gave him all away. If you buy this book you won't put it down. I't has an equaled out story line not to much action not to much romance it's a perfect setup for this story OVER ALL it's a good book

Summary: I like this history better
Review: This book, the first RL novel to stray from the number order as a stand-alone (only its sequel and Tales of Ravenloft are exempt as well), and the only RL book to be in hardcover, is the paragon of the series. It is what every other book should measure itself against in quality.

Finally, even though it is the umpteenth time we've received Count Strahd Von Zarovich's history, this one tops them all! Even though it seems a stark contrast to the savage killing machine featured in Vampire of the Mists, Knight of the Black Rose, and the RL game products, the Strahd in this book is the one I've come to appreciate the most.

The story, presented as Dr. Rudolph Van Richten reads it himself, is enveloping and well-executed. The way Strahd claims it really happened is greatly different from other accounts, but you really forget those as you read it. This is perhaps the best RL book (close race with Scholar of Decay), and an enthralling read. My only complaints: the chapters were lengthy to the extreme and the occasional illustration was unnecessary.

Summary: great book to learn about strahd
Review: This is an excellent book to learn about strahd's strong areas as well as his weak areas. It helped me understand about ravenloft better.
