Rating: Summary: Good book. Despisable character. Review: Although I liked this book just as much as the other books in the series, I had a problem liking the main character Khalid. He was crass, hopelessly cruel and an opportunist to the most horrific degree. I found myself reading the book hoping he was destroyed at the end. Although he wasn't, I did enjoy the interaction between he and Ramona. The thought that a Gangrel and a Ravnos getting along as well as they did for so long, was astounding to say the least. All in all, I thought the book did portray the Ravnos clan quite correctly and did offer a preview to the Nosferatu book that I really enjoyed. I look forward to seeing what exactly will happen to these Cainites in the future. All I can say is, read the book, take Khalid in stride and keep the overall plot to the series in mind and you'll be dying to find out what happens next.
Rating: Summary: The Eye Review: As with all of the clan novels it helps to be familiar with white wolf's world of darkness to truly enjoy this book. That being said this work does a good job of combining the overall plo of the 13 novels with a closeup look at a setite vampire. The author conveyed the sense of other that is a setite. It was quite clear that Hesha was a child of Set not Caine, at least in his own mind. With that however I must say that he did not live up at all to The setite reputation of corruption. aside from this flaw this was an enjoyable work.
Rating: Summary: NOW this is a vampire. Review: Best of the books so far. Can't help but feel that the characters were real and that the book could even stand alone, almost.

Rating: Summary: Not all that bad a book. Review: Clan Novel: Setite has been the only book that I've read of the Clan Novel series, and I must say that, all in all, it wasn't all that terrible a book. It wasn't an outstanding piece of literature, and as far as both quality and quantity, it had its share of weak spots. I doubt that a reader uninitiated to White Wolf would like it very much, and only if you're one of the fans of the World of Darkness will you feel the need to read this book. And it won't compel you to turn the pages rapidly; it didn't for me. Still, it satisfied my taste for the Vampire: the Masquerade storyline, and although it didn't tempt me to read any other of Ryan's books, it did an excellent job as far as catering to a White Wolf fan.
Rating: Summary: Perfect Review: Heasha is the perfect Setite. Kathleen Ryan's stories in the Mage books were great. This is a step up for her. Expertly written. Engrossing.
Rating: Summary: nicely done Review: I agree with the others that this is perhaps the best written book in the series so far. We get to see very intimately how Kindred interact with mortals. Hesha, the Setite that the story revolves around, is constantly referred to as a "monster" and yet acts so very gentlemanly... we find out in the end what he truly is, just as Liz, our hero, finds out. This story does in fact stand alone but it does tie into the larger story, adding some rather frightening details that seem to be almost glossed over. Keep your eyes open.

Rating: Summary: I laughed a lot. Review: I don't know how to describe this novel, but I never thought Ravnos were too much to handle till I read this. But seriously, this novel produces a player that was hidden in the game although was involved in the previous novels. And I have to admit I really liked the Ravnos main character Khalid. It's funny considering the arabic translation of his name means "Eternal" or someone who is living forever. The book is highly recommended.
Rating: Summary: best so far Review: I have read all the calan novels so far. I agree with the GA. reader that this is the best so far. But I have to say that I am disapointed with the series up to date. I am hoping for a better future though:). I will warn non White Wolf readers not to get any of these novels(or maybe I should say chapters) because you will not understand a thing. (sorry its late just a short thought on the book)
