Rating: Summary: An interesting and well written insight into Buffy Review: This book was superb, a must buy for all Buffy fans. It has exclusive interviews, great photo's and episode guides. Throughout the book there is a sense of a connection between the reader and the cast. The best part of the book is the quotes and phrases from previous episodes. The book is also personal and intimate with the show's stars and makes you feel like their best mate. If you want a fun and interesting book on Buffy check out The Watcher's Guide
Rating: Summary: This is a great book! It's for the ultimate Buffy fan! Review: This book has tons of info. on the T.V. show! It's really good that you can read what you missed, when you missed a episode of Buffy (From the first two seasons), it tells you everything you need to know, so you can impress your friends with how much you know about Buffy!
Rating: Summary: An enjoyable Companion to the Hit Show Review: This book is excellent for people who have just began to watch the show. It fills them in on the beginning of the show. The best part of the book is the quotes from the show they are the most enjoyable to read. The only problem is that they probably should have waited another season before writing this book since the third season has been filled with tons of surprises
Rating: Summary: A great book worth reading to any Buffy fan. Review: The watcher's guide id the perfect book for any Buffy fan. It explains all the charaters, has quotes from the show, has a guide to all the villians/monsters, episode summaries, and a special section on all relationships from Buffy. It also has bios of all the cast members and all the masterminds behind the show. It even has sections that were cut out of the scripts for length. It's only fault is it only goes up to Becoming, Part Two. And it has pictures. Lots of pictures. It is a must for any Buffy fan. Get it today!
Rating: Summary: Premature guide book, but some good interviews Review: Shortly into a third season this "official companion to the hit show" appears. Is there enough material to fill 298 pages? Golden and Holder do an admirable job of providing fresh material on the "behind the scene" elements of the show, which makes up approximately one-third of the content. The other two-thirds consists of a hodgepodge collection of material presented in an overly designed style. Elements, like the episode guide, have been covered more unbiasedly in magazines like "Shivers." At times the companion reads more like an elaborate role-playing guide. Most companion books written on or about genre programs have a wealth of material from which to draw. All you have to do is look at "guides" written about "The Twilight Zone," "The Outer Limits," "The Avengers" and so forth. I do enjoy the series, but they have not even reached it 100 episodes. This kitschy companion is purely a shallow marketing ploy seeking to capitalize on the popularity of the series. It is a shame that Golden and Holder could not have waited another season or two.
Rating: Summary: Entertaining and informative guide to the TV series Review: This book has so much diversity, that even if you are an avid watcher of Buffy you will find out quirky bits of information you did not know about. The anecdotal style of the book works perfectly, and the interviews behind the scenes were really interesting.
Rating: Summary: This book is perfect for ANY buffy fan Review: For anyone who is a massive fan of Buffy then this is definitely the book for you. It is the most definitive guide and has everything that you'll ever need to know. If you truly call yourself a Buffy fan then i ensure you to buy this book now!
Rating: Summary: The Watcher's Guide: It has it all! Review: The Watcher's Guide contains EVERYTHING that a Buffy fan needs to know - and stuff that you don't! Try a tour of Buffy's bedroom, a list of spells used in the show, an episode guide, a monster guide, interviews with cast, crew and creator Joss Whedon, notable quotables, a guide to Sunnydale, the Slayer handbook (according to Buffy Summers), a love interest section, and much, much more! I would reccomend this guide for anyone who watches and loves Buffy - and everyone who doesn't! Definately worth reading; and again, and again, and again!
Rating: Summary: Awesome book! Review: This is a great book about Buffy the Vampire Slayer. There's lots of info, funny quotes, interviews, pictures, etc. There is a great episode guide comprising of portions of scripts cut from that episode, what weapons Buffy uses in that episode, pop culture IQ and more. Lots of info on the mythology and monsters also. And if you're a romance fan like myself, you'll love reading the romance section. This book is awesome!
Rating: Summary: Watchers Guide rocks! Review: This book is awesome! If your a true Buffy fan you'll love it! It's got everything, a Buffy fan would want! If your going to buy a book buy this one! Two thumbs up!!!!!
