Summary: excellent
Review: They couldn't improve on this book if they tried. I couldn't put it down. It has all the information you could ever ask for about the first few seasons of buffy. It has behind the scene info, star info, and character info. It was great for me because I missed out on the beginning of the buffy tv series so this book helped me catch up on all that I missed. I can't wait for volume 2. I highly recommend this book to all buffy fans!!

Summary: THE Buffy book - even for Aussies like me!
Review: Ok, where do I start?? The Watcher's Guide for BtVS is the most informative book on any show, let alone Buffy. With all the quotes you'll ever need and the little things that you might have missed - though if you're like me, you watch the eps over and over anyway!!

There are the helpful explanations on the quotes that involve movies or TV, and help you to see what everyone was laughing about - especially good for Aussies who sometimes dont have a clue about the American terms and stuff (like me!)

There are full colour pics, as well as black and white pictures. And if you missed a few eps, there is a full episode guide of seasons 1 and 2. From the eps you did miss, you might also have missed some vital info about a character - well, never fear! Detailed character info and backgrounds are also found in this book!!

I know this is an over-used phrase but it is sooo true in this case - If you buy ONE book this year and you're a Buffy fan, this is the book you should buy!! Save up if you have to, but do whatever you can to get a hold of it before The Watcher's Guide pt 2 (for seasons 3 and 4) comes out in November 2000!! Whether you're an Australian, an American, English, from New Zealand, or ZIMBABWE! It doesn't matter! Get your hands on this book!!

Summary: Wickedly Entertaining Buffy Book!
Review: This was the first item of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" memorabilia that I ever bought. I started watching in the third season and now have seen almost all of the episodes preceeding it and all of third, fourth, and what has been released so far of the fifth season. I have another book on Buffy, one of the Buffy and Angel chronicles, and I've taped most of the fourth season and all of the episodes that play on Tuesday nights I tape now-a-days. So I guess you could say I am a major fan!! I was at a bookstore during the third season and found this book and I was intrigued after looking through it. After buying it, I read it for hours. I normally HATE reading anything on my own time but this was entertainment, like watching the show itself. Because it has details on the first two seasons, I was able to catch up on EVERYTHING that I had missed when I hadn't watched the show. The quotes, photos, and interesting facts, as well as bios, descriptions, etc., were all top notch. I also loved the little extras like the songs of the show, and costume blueprints. This book is a great guide to the show and I love all of Golden and Holder's books!!

Summary: Golden and Holder Did It Again
Review: I was at a bookstore and I saw this book laying down in the Bargain Books area. I am the biggest Buffy fan in the universe so I piked up and ran to go buy it. I also have a website and it gave me everything I needed for the site. Inside there are 298 pages of good info about the show. This includes: Song list, episode guide, cast, characters and behind the scene pictures. But be warned this only covers Season 1 and 2 of Buffy. You will have to wait for the next one to come. But if you are looking for the best Buffy refrence book deffinetly buy this!

Summary: DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!
Review: This book, while an interesting read, does not provide anything new for loyal fans. It is mostly descriptions of characters and a synopsis of each episode. While it does provide some interesting tidbits, like major developments in episodes that will be important later and a description of some of the music, it is not worth the money, especially for those who have kept up with the show.

Summary: You Gotta Have It!
Review: If you're like me, you might have missed half of the first and second season, not really knowing what the show was about and now you're paying for it. There will always be the jokes on the show about their past, talking about things that happened in long-ago seasons and you have absolutely no idea what they are talking about. Well, I bought this book to catch up on what happened in those not so long forgotten days and I found everything I needed. This book gives you all the info on Sunnydale, the hotspots, demons, vamps, witches and pretty much anything that goes "bump" in the night. They have actor interviews and behind the scenes photos which include make up and costume putting on. Now, I know everything a fan needs to know and more and I've actually read the whole book three times (just in case i missed something) and i always find new things. It's really great, and if you're a fan, it's a MUST GET!

Summary: Magnificent!
Review: When I first saw this book I knew I liked it; the attractive cover the glossy pages and the realistic looking pictures. Once I got it home I spent all night reading it I didn't even have my dinner it was so absorbing and engrossing and extreamly amusing. The only problem was once the 2nd series was over it seemed mostly useless but the interviews and quotes are still magnificent.

Summary: Nothing Missing
Review: The Watcher's Guide is the ULTIMATE Buffy viewers' book. It has everything from the first 2 seasons. I really mean that, nothing is missing. You can read about each episode, and even get dialogue that was cut from the episodes, and the bloopers and mistakes in the episodes. Read bios of all the actors & actresses in Buffy, and their characters. See who dated who, and who liked who, just everything you need to know! If you just started watching Buffy, and have no idea what's going on, buy this book, to see what happened in the first 2 seasons, and wait for The Watcher's Guide 2, for seasons 3 & 4.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A must have!
Review: I could not put this book down since I bought it. It filled in so many gaps in Season 1 since I only started watching the series halfway. Everytime I pick it up I find a little quote or funny paragraph I'd missed before. What are you waiting for...buy it! I cannot wait until the follow up is published.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Absolutely Brilliant
Review: This book has everything you could possibly need to know about the show in general, the stars (even some of the guest stars), episodes in seasons 1 & 2, and anything else you can think of. I just hope that they bring out an updated one with seasons 3,4,... in it.
