Rating: Summary: Lenore - Cute Little Dead Girl Review: The first strip I've ever read of Lenore was called "The Raven," it was in Lenore Issure #2. I read it while I was in a local comic book store. I knew I was falling in love. The next one I read was called "Little Bunny foo foo." Both are in this collection. That's when I had enough! I bought the comic book. I believe that was 2 weeks ago. :) Since then I've bought both books (Lenore - noogies and Lenore - Wedgies!) and love them both! Roman Dirge's Lenore is very funny. Lenore is adorable. U never know what's coming, U just know it'll be funny. It's so funny, one time I Laughed so loud that everyone on the bus turned to look at me! :) ~Mari

Rating: Summary: Possibly the closest I've come to being offended recently Review: The first time I read Noogies, the first volume in Roman Dirge's Lenore series, I can honestly say it was the first time in a very long time that I was close to being offended, but I couldn't help but laugh. Lenore is an adorable dead little girl with a penchant for mistreating the babies she babysits or the furry animals that come across her way; most of the time resulting in a gruesome death for the poor souls. However, you'll find it hard not to laugh when you see it all unfold. Dirge has his toungue planted firmly in cheek throughout the proceedings of Noogies, and you'll find maximum enjoyment from it as long as you don't take it seriously. If you like this, check out Johnny the Homicidal Maniac and Squee.
Rating: Summary: "i laughed so hard i choked on my tears." Review: these comics are the cutest yet the most morbid things i have ever read in my life. Lenore is one of my favorite comics and i highly recommend this book to anyone who like their comedy mixed with morbidity
Rating: Summary: A Cute Little Dead Girl... How Sweet! Review: This book does something remarkable... It makes the sickest of situations adorable! Lenore is just so sweet, and never means any harm. Somehow, though, anything she gets her curious little hands on dies rather miserably. Lenore herself is quite strange. It's not really her small stature or creepy one eye'd blank stare that makes her so cute, but the entire package of her being such a curious and michievous little girl that reminds us of what good little children are like. She's not a brat, she doesn't whine or wail. She's like the child we'd all want, except for her little problem of either killing, or getting killed. All by curious misfortune. A lot of people compare seem to like comparing Johnny the Homicidal Maniac to Lenore. Yes both are based on sick twisted humor, but there are two very big differences that make both of them nice to have and not so similar as many think: 1. Characterization: Lenore isn't insane really. She seems quite sweet and soft spoken. She knows about her mistakes, but that's all they really are. Just her little mishaps. Johnny, on the other hand is much more troubled, and knows it. throughout his comic, searches for the reasons and the way out. 2. Plot: Lenore is great, but there isn't much story to it. Other than the series of cats Lenore brings home and kills, there aren't many ties that connect the stories to each other. So anyway, if you need some dark laughs as well as something to make you say, "aw..." then Lenore is perfect. Cute, witty, sick... everyone must love Lenore. Even if there isn't much plot...
Rating: Summary: Hilariously Gory!!! Review: This was the best book I've ever read! I can't wait to buy the second edition;"Lenore:Wedgies"! This was hilarious. I took it to school and everybody loved it! My boyfriend couldn't stop raving about it. It's a comic about a cute little dead girl. Roman Dirge ROCKS!!
Rating: Summary: Yes, it's a dog. Review: Tiresome little snippets about a "dead" girl who is somehow still alive. Seldom funny or even imaginative, beyond the initial concept, though still better than JTHM (Johnny the Homicidal Maniac), which is why I give it 2 stars. Too bad. Will appeal only to those immature enough to think that comics about a dead girl just HAVE to be REALLY GREAT!
