Summary: STEPPING STONE
Review: ALOT OF THE REVIEWS I HAVE READ LEAD ME TO BELIEVE THAT I SHOULD NOT BOTHER BUYING THIS BOOK.

I'M GLAD I DID NOT LISTEN.

IT IS TRUE THAT THE BOOK IS MUCH TO SHORT HOWEVER I FELT THAT WE HAVE BEEN GIVEN A REST BEFORE THE NEXT BOOK COMES OUT. THERE IS SO MUCH HAPPENING IN THIS BOOK THAT ANY MORE CHAPTERS AND I WOULD HAVE BEEN LOST. MS. HAMILTON HAS GIVEN US SO MANY NEW CHARACTERS THAT IT HAD ME QUITE CONFUSED.

I NOW HAVE ALL THE NEW PLAYERS STRAIGHT, SO THAT IN THE NEXT BOOK I HOPE I CAN KEEP UP.

I DO RECOMMEND THIS BOOK IT IS VERRRRRY IMPORTANT TO THE STORY LINE.

I CANT WAIT, BUT I MUST. I HOPE IT'S WORTH THE WAIT!

Summary: I think it's great!
Review: I don't care what some of the others are saying. I thought the books was great as are all of Laurell's books. I prefer the Anita Blake series, but Merry's are good too. Can't wait for the next one.

Rhys for king!!!!!

Summary: THIS WAS GREAT! Don't listen to everyone else!
Review: Despite what others have said, this is a fantastic book. The series is unfolding just as it is meant to. DOYLE FOR KING!!!

Summary: Confused...
Review: As a fan of both the Merry Gentry and Anita Blake series, I was very disappointed. Not only was this book lacking a proper plot in my opinion (what happened to Merry's career?) but I felt no connection with any of the new characters (had trouble keeping track of most of them) and no reconnection to the old characters (MORE DOYLE PLEASE!)Of course if you are a true Hamilton fan it is a must read, but I suggest you wait for the paperback.

Summary: An excellent bridge
Review: Seduced by Moonlight takes place over a shorter ammount of time than the previous two books in this series, and has less grand action. Instead, it focuses more on character development and sets the stage for what will probably be quite a bit of hard-and-fast action (and doubtless some sex of the same variety). Though there is quite a bit of time spent in the bedroom, this book actually seems to contain less outright sex than the previous two, since the gooey details tend to get lost in instances of personal enlightenment and revitalization. Here, the main characters begin to work out some of their issues with one another and forge themselves into a more cohesive group. At the same time, an old Power takes an active interest in Merry and seems to have chosen her to be the catalyst of a magical renaissance for the fading world of faerie. The overall purpose of this book seems to be setting the stage for the next few, preparing the characters to face the events that are brewing.

Summary: Seduced by Moonlight
Review: I couldn't get passed the first 7 chapters because there was so much description about sex in this book (I got the audio version). I'm not a prude or anything, but isn't there anything else to this book than Merry and her sex life? There was no story. I found it rather shallow and more like eye-candy than anything remotely engaging or intellectually valuable. What a waste of money!

Summary: Could Have Been Better!!!
Review: I love Laurell K. Hamilton. I think she is a talented writer who isn't afraid to broach subjects that both turn us on and make us squirm. I was dissappointed with Seduced By Moonlight mainly because I felt there was no story. The previous novels in this series did a good job I think, especially the first, in setting up interesting situations. The sex in this particular novel was so constant it actually managed to bore me, and I am never bored by that particular topic. There is a part where Merry is having sex with more than one character and rather than get turned on I was a bit disturbed(it was the little guy who is a fairie I believe and one of the guards, those who have read know who I mean). In the Anita Blake series we saw a gradual change in Anita's behavior especially regarding sex. And because that series has so many books in it, some excess can be tolerated. Here I felt nearly assaulted and maybe if there was a more intriguing background story taking place I could have overlooked it. Instead I found myself skipping whole pages trying to find something worth reading. Needless to say I finished it and like many others I want to see where this character and her men are going to go. Therefore I reccomend this for those who liked the other two and want just to keep up with what's going on. I just hope the next time out it is more fun getting to whatever the end will be.

Summary: Lov e Laurell
Review: In love all of her books, each time a new one is released, I want to go back and reread the others!!!

Summary: Pleasant and engaging
Review: I read A KISS OF SHADOWS and A CARESS OF TWILIGHT first and thoroughly enjoyed those. And while I did like SEDUCED BY MOONLIGHT, it wasn't quite what I expected. Though well written and paced enjoyably, there was a little too much background info for me, as though the author thought the reader might not have read the others in the series. While that intention is good and sometimes correct, I just felt it could have been shortened. That said, this was still an excellent read and much better than most of the other stuff out there! Would also recommend another book I recently enjoyed very much, though with an entirely different subject matter--THE BARK OF THE DOGWOOD by Jackson McCrae. It was an excellent read and very well written also. Thanks!

Summary: Too much sex, too little plot
Review: Merry and her harem of mystical men spend a little too much time in bed at the beginning of this book, I thought. It's fair to argue that erotic fantasy is the whole point of this series (after all, how many of us have a bevy of beautiful men awaiting us, in alphabetical order no less, ... ). But, so much of the beginning of the book is steeped in [mature themes] that there isn't enough room left for the plot. While I'm a fan of both of Laurell K. Hamilton's series, I was disappointed with this book.
