Summary: Horrific! Brillian!
Review: Dean Koontz can make your blood run cold and deprive you of your sleep. Almost as good as Stephen King (Who I plan to read soon) and can entwine his characters successfully into any plot. Dean will make it a long way.

Summary: book was good once you got into it
Review: Dragon tears was a book you had to keep reading. It started out confusing to me but I just decided to keep reading and was glad I did. I really enjoyed the book.

Summary: some parts of it were really good.....most of it stunk
Review: Something about this book was off. I have never read a Koontz book i didn't like until this one. Right off the characters were hard to relate to, and just about everything was not explained. Like what Bryan Drackman was "Becoming". Was it a Devil, a god, WHAT?? It never said!!! Also the thing it never said that bothered me the most is Drackman's motive - why did he want to kill Janet, Danny, Harry, Connie and Sammy??? When Koontz said "His Greatest and Most Secret Power" over and over it seemed so childish. Why did bryan act like such a child??? There was one pretty exciting part and that was the Pause. That was about it though. All and all this book didn't do enough explaining, the characters were 2 dimensional (had no depth) and seemed to lack the "horror". If you don't like books that you have NO idea what is going on - i suggest you do not read Dragon Tears.

Summary: great stuff
Review: I thought Koontz did a great job of keeping me on the edge of my seat. I felt like I wanted to run during the still-time sequence. Buy it, and if you like the excitement, you'll also like his other book, Midnight.

Summary: amazing storyteller
Review: It was hard to put the book down. Once tick-tock started to reak havoc I couldn't read fast enough. Funny how it ends though you never would have quessed it to be the Oppps !!!!! Almost gave away the ending well anyone who wants to read it will just have to find out for themselves.

Summary: Once you get into it you won't be able to put it down!!
Review: I really enjoyed this book! In the beginning I have to admit that I was lossing interest, but soon everything pulled together to be another one of Dean's masterpieces! The way you know what the dog is thinking to the way Dean describes what is going on inside the bad guy's head. I recommend this book to everyone who has read a Dean Koontz book before, but not to someone who hasn't. You should read another on of his books first because this isn't a good book to start with. But you will like it is you can finish it

Summary: "Draggin' in what worked before . . ."
Review: If you are a Koontz fan you will recognize some of the previously successful elements found in other novels. The most obvious--the dog. "Watchers" gave us the most lovable and delightful canine hero. Dragon Tears tries to employ the same scenario-- with less emotional impact. This novel is more than a little far-fetched with too many loose ends to be remotely plausible. However, if you have a lot of time to kill--read it. If not, don't, or you may find yourself crying "alligator" tears over what might have been

Summary: My least favorite
Review: Hard to get into, only made it half way through, the never picked it up again

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: An OK story with plenty of action, but a little childish...
Review: I felt DRAGON TEARS was a good book to read, but it really wasn't anything on the cutting edge. What I liked about the book was it's fast pace which makes it easy to sit and read in just a couple of sittings. What I didn't like was that the action seemed to be on the childish side; something that I would get out of a campy scary story book for adolecents. The characters are being chased by a guy who can stop time and reappear as a gollum. It sounds like a story that I might see on an episode of Goosebumps or in some corny 1950's movie. This is a good book if you are looking for something fast paced and full of action, but not if you are looking for anything to stimulate your intelligence

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Slow start, then spell binding. Loved the dog!
Review: Unlike most of the authors books, this one was harder to get interested at the start. Once the characters were presented the book takes off. I loved the dog! The ending is also great, just ask the dog
