Review: This book is about a bot who moves to stoney gate, and his life gets turned upside down. He is called Kit Watson and this book is an adventure of him trying to settle into his new home.

The book starts off with him moving to stoney gate, and him making friends with John Askew who is into dares the Game off death to him.
The game of death is where a group of people spin knifes and who ever it lands on gets to pretend that they are dead, but if you are woken up without playing the game you are ment to be the living dead,as Kit Watson finds out. Kit's problems begin to increase when his Granpa gets seriously ill,and Kit wories about him all the time. There ghosts from the old mines where Kit had his friends play the game of death, and come to haunt. They are children but one called Silky looks after Kit and his Granpa like a Gordina. You will have to read more of the books to find out what happens to these parts in the story.
The main charactor falls around Kit he is a teenager who trys to make friends but his plans to make them backfire on him one of the friends is John Askew who i think isn't a very good charactor to be friends with. He is a frightening person who seems almost like a coverman.
Another important person is Kits Granpa, who lets the past come back to life by telling his never ending life of stories.
The story is based around death family relationships and friendship. the story starts with Kit trying to make friends play the game of death and other charactors family relationship

Summary: Kit's Wilderness
Review: Kit's wilderness is a great book to read. I think anybody who likes mystery would enjoy this book. There are a lot of characters in this book and they all have different characteristics.

The plot in brief is a boy calledd kit who moves to Stoneygate and a boy called John Askew who likes kit because he thinks that they are connected. Then he askes kit to play a game called "Death" which is very dangerous. Then he incounts lots of other problems like his Grampa is getting very ill and he then sees some ghost. As you can see kit already has a lot of problems but then he gets even more problems.

There are quite a few characters in this book but some of the main characters are kit who is the central person in the book and everything in the bookk links somhow back to him. His friend John Askew who is very frightening and he is a bit like a caveman but he has family problems as well as kit. There is also Grampa who is ill and old he also tells kit about his past.

Summary: Kit's wilderness
Review: When Kit Watson moved to Stoneygate he only knew that his Grandpa lives there. After a while at toneygate Kit becomes friends with school rebel John Askew, introduces him to the game of Death! Kit becomes addicted to the darkness. Although the stories of the pit disaster and the dead mining boy silky begin to fade away when Kit's Grandpa falls ill.

Kit's wilderness for me is a magical book its pages will haunt you just like the visions in the darkness haunted Kit. Kit for me is my favourite character in the book because he's the most interesting. Kit's friend Allie is Kit's only real friend but as the book goes on she begins to fade away. John askew plays a lead role in the book and dazels kit with his amazing drawing skills, after John gets expelled he disappears into the darkess and becomes a mystery. Kit's relationship with Grandpa becomes stronger throughout the book but when his Grandpa falls ill he loses his concentration at school as a master story writer. The Game of death to me is the spine of the book everything relates to it, but when Burning Bush Kit's teacher finds him in the pit in the middle of his death she wakes him up and puts him into the living death. For me as the reader David Almond's writing really lets you imagine stoneygate and thats what made the book so interesting. Although this is a brilliant book its not the sort for me but I would still reccomend it to others of my age because you can't put it down!

Summary: A Review of Kits Wilderness
Review: David Almonds books are all unique, Critics may say that they are all the same but David almondis only really for one Target Audience, Children, most Critics are Adults not children so it is not a fare hypothesis or review of the book.

Kit wilderness is a adventure book with a hint of fantasy and horror. The story begins when Christopher whatson A.K.A Kit a 13 year old boy moves back to stoney gate his home town. Stoney gate is in the country side with undulating hills with a trickleing stream and an old mine pit. Kit is not used to this type of location because he used to live in the city.

Kit meets a few people but does not make many friends! He meets John Askew who intoduces him to the dangerous game of death. John Askew is the rebelius character of the town and hought off as a nasty piece of work.

The game of death is a disturbing game and not nomal. kit is drawn to it like bes to honey. John Askew spins a knife, like spin the bottle and whoever it points to "dies". Kit also meets Allie is more light hearted than John Askew but her emotions are puzzleing and she is kaliedoscopic with her mood all the timeshe is a mystifying charachter. Kit lives with his warm hearted cosy but slightly paranoid mother and his grandpa who is always there for him, he is a demonstrative, kind, tender and a affectionte Grandpa to kit he is Kits friend aswell as grandpa.

Grandpa becomes ill depressing kit alot making kits problems grow. The ghost of the past comes to haunt kit in the form of "silky" a old miner boy who died in a accident down the pit.

The most important themes in the book are Friendship Death and rendship.

David Almond has created a different side to reaing novels and i would reccomend this book to young teenagers because it is based on them. ...

Summary: A Review on Kit's Wilderness
Review: I loved the book. I loved how it never told you an answer and kept you thinking about it. It was not boring, some parts were better then others but it was never boring. It was confusing at times but as long as I looked back I was fine with it. Furthermore, it might have been unrealistic but it's fiction and it's not supposed to be realistic. The book was not "rubbish" as the person described, it was awesome. I would give 5 stars because of the excellent way of describing it, how it all fit together, and how you never got an answer and you can think whatever you want to. The way it all fit together was the story about Lak and the book itself. They completely connected but it depended how you looked at things because there could be a million answers of how they were connected and you could go on forever deciding which one is right. Honestly I didn't like the ending. He didn't give any detail, it was as he was in a hurry to finish the book. I definitely think he could of done better on the ending. I think this was an excellent book and I would recommend it to many of my friends.

Review: The basic plot was about a group of friends playing a game called death then a teacher at there school finds out and has the den filled up with earth again. Then askew and kit try to play death on their own together, but then allie keenan the good bad ice girl comes and finds them. i like allie best because she has a very funny character. i found the last few chapters least effective because they rushed that part of the story. if i could change any of the story it would be the end, i would say a bit more about how grandpa. that was my review!!!!!!

Summary: Kits Wilderness review
Review: Kits Wilderness is a story set in Stoney gate. Stoney Gate is a old mineing village. The children there played in the mines and they had a game called Death. The game got found out and it was stopped.
My favoirt charcteris Allie because she has a good personallity and sounds like a fun person to be around. My least favorit charcter is John's Father because he is a nasty man who isn't very nice, but he gets better through the book.
I think that the most effictive parts of the book are when Kit's Grandad is telling his stories. The least effictive parts of the book are when they are at school.
If i could change a part of the book i would change it so it doesn't end so quickly.
I would recomend this book to others because it is an enjoyable book to read.
