Rating: Summary: A Sci-Fi Masterpiece Review: I read hundreds of books a year, and my moms favorite question is, why do you read those romance novels with the same plot and the people in them, all the time? Well the answer is, because I dream of finding that elusive book. The book that speaks to me on many levels, that is full of fierce loyalty, love, laughter and self-discovery. I find all those things and more in Kelley Armstrong's Bitten. Armstrong develops Elena Michaels into a torn character, one who thinks they have their path set, planned, perfect. However, her loyalty and subconscious love will drive her to see a much different destiny. This book describes Elena's mind, body and soul with a detail not seen by other authors. But it is not just Elena that will captivate you, but also Clayton, in a word, a renegade. Masculine and passionate and loyal to a fault. So please, take the time and read this book, it will change you! Much thanx to Kelley Armstrong, what a sensational first book you have given us!
Rating: Summary: Female Werewolf Review: I really enjoyed this book. I have read the Anita Blake books and other books dealing with vampirers, werewolves, and etc. The reader is drawn into the conflicts, emotions and problems Elena Michaels, the only female werewolf, has to resolve and deal with in relationship to herself, friends, lovers and survival in the modern world. The writer gives readers insight into how the only female werewolf might feel, react and live in a all male pack and others. Elena shares with the reader her past, present and possibly her future as a werewolf in the pack or out on her own. I could not put the book down. The story is moving and very realistic. I hope that Kelly Armstrong will write another book of this nature. I would like to find out what the future has in store for Elena and her world.
Rating: Summary: Really Good. Can't wait for another! Review: Definitely worth reading. I liked the strong main characters and the interaction between them. It made me want to be a werewolf just so I could live with the pack. It's a modern werewolf story that I think Laurel Hamilton (Anita Blake) fans will enjoy. Lot's of fun, but too short. I polished it off in less than 48 hours over Thanksgiving. Please write more Ms. Armstrong!
Rating: Summary: The best werewolf book I've read so far Review: Elena is the only female werewolf in existence. She didn't willingly become one, nor does she accept it. She wants to live a nice normal life after spending her youth in foster homes with uncaring or abusive people. She thinks that she has escaped the Pack and all it represents with the new love of her life, Phillip, when the alpha, Jeremy, calls her and asks for her help. A non pack werewolf or mutt is killing humans around Jeremy's estate, and he doesn't want the Pack to be exposed. Elena goes home to help. While there, she must come to terms with her werewolf status and her first love, who betrayed her and turned her into what she is. This is the best and fastest moving werewolf novel I have ever read. It seemed to be over much too soon, and I found myself wishing it was longer, even though it cost me a good part of my night's sleep. I can't wait for the sequel.
Rating: Summary: Excellent book Review: For those who enjoy the supernatural or those who are Laurell K Hamilton. Kelly Armstrong has her own unique writing style, but shares the same ability as Laurell K Hamilton to captivate readers and transport them into an alternate universe where the non-humans roam among us, humans.
Rating: Summary: Best Book I Have Every Read! Review: .... Wow, what an amazing book! It was so easy to read, it was exciting. I couldn't put the book down! Everywhere I went, Bitten was with me. Anyone I talked to, Bitten was mentioned. I am literally hanging out for the next book to be released so I can purchase it and feed my need to continue the story. ....!
Rating: Summary: I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Review: It didn't change my world view or inspire me to be a better person, and I spent the whole book vainly hoping for a threesome between Elena, Clay and Nick, but it was a pleasant, diverting read on my recent vacation. I'm usually more of a vampire, rather than werewolf, novel fan, but I can honestly say that I'm looking forward to reading the sequel to "Bitten". I just hope that cutie Nick gets a little more action in the next book.
Rating: Summary: Amazing!!! Review: Great book, I loved it. It was fast-paced and kept me interested from beginning to end. I'm not usually a fan of books from this genre, however I greatly anticipate and look forward to more books from Ms. Armstrong.
Rating: Summary: This book grabbed hold and hasn't let go Review: Long story short I've got no books to read and little cash. I was looking thru the stacks for that one book that would entertain me and stay in my budget, when I saw this. The title and cover intrigued me. I opened it to the first page, read the first little blurb of story and was instantly hooked. I'm not even a quarter of the way thru but I'm already impressed and in love with this book. I'll leave a fuller report when I'm done, but I've read enough to recommend it to anyone who like romance, horror, mystery, angst, humour, or the paranormal.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful Werewolf Work Review: This was a spontanous purchase, I was looking for something to tide me over for a week when I had nothing else to read - what can I say, I should have found it sooner! Even if you aren't into paranormal fiction this is a fantastic read for its mystery alone. But boy, am I looking forward to Stolen the sequel coming out in January, Kelley Armstrong does that to a reader, makes you eager to finish and get the next!
