Rating: Summary: Completely changed my life Review: A friend recommended this book to me. Once I started, I couldn't put it down - it captured so many ideas I'd already been thinking. I then gave it to my wife, who, to my surprise, also loved. Needless to say, it has completely changed our lives for the better.
Rating: Summary: This book explored a side of human sexuality often ignored. Review: I enjoyed this book very much. When I was reading this novel, I felt as though my own sexuality was becoming open for exploration and evaluation. The Club (where most of the novel takes place) is a place that many people long to find in life. A place where you can be sexually "free". I think that this is a novel which should be read by anyone open to exploring the farthest reaches of human sexuality.
Rating: Summary: Excellent! Review: Elliot is this exquisite man, amazing in all aspects. Lisa, the dominatrous finds herself falling in love. The whole aspect of the book to me, was a hard controlling woman and a soft sided man falling in love. Is it possible? One of the most erotic tales I've ever read. It is full of history, modern love, erotica, and just an all out wonderful plot. I loved every minute of this book and have read it several times thereafter.
Rating: Summary: Absolutely fabulous!!! Review: I have read almost all of Anne Rice's works and this is by far the best. It has similarities of the Beauty series yet adds a more modern and believable twist. I highly reccomend that all of her fans new and old read it at least a million times.
Rating: Summary: A glimpse into the real world of s/m play. Review: An extremely accurate view of the thoughts and feelings of people into the light s/m scene. Although the setting and plot are (most likely) fictional, Rice has done something here I've never seen before - realistically portray the eroticism and appeal of this sexual lifestyle. Much better than her over-the-top Beauty series. One flaw, though, was her tendency to hang people by their hands for long periods - definitely dangerous and never done by responsible "players". Don't try this one at home!
Rating: Summary: Erotic and Romantic... One of Anne's Best! Review: Exit to Eden is one of Anne's Best works, in my opinion. Many people were turned off by the film adaptation (why hollywood decided no one would want to see a bondage film is beyond me <eg>) but this book focuses on the relationship of Master and Slave and what happens when the tables are turned. Anne has many sides and Lestat is just one of them. True Rice Fans will adore this beautiful work of fiction.
Rating: Summary: If this isn't her best, I'll be looking for the rest!! Review: This is just the vehicle to make you forget that horrid movie, which unlike the book, had only one redeeming factor. The movie's saving grace was the costuming (except for the Dan Akroyd Character and Rosie could have lost about 50Lbs), the book however, a thrill ride from beginning to end! If you like your reading to be erotic, visual and entertaining, then THIS is the book for you. If Ann Rice has more like this on her shelf I want to read those too.
Rating: Summary: What was this....trash is what it is!! Review: I was not happy with this book. Luckily I checked it out at the library, so I did not spend the money on it. It was filth, trash, and poorly written at that. I wanted the erotic sensations like the vampires get when drinking blood. Instead I got nothing but sorry, flabby writing that went nowhere. If the book had belonged to me, I would have burned it!
Rating: Summary: Wonderfully Erotic Review: I was not able to put this book down. If you have ever been interested in s/m, you must read this. Anne takes you to the point of being sexually submissive like no one ever will!
Rating: Summary: Needs more to it. Review: I like to read erotic fiction from time to time. But if it doesn't have substance, it's nothing more than another trashy pornography novel. "Eden" was better than Anne's " Beauty" novels, but was definitely not for readers who want the zest they received from " Interview with the Vampire".
