Rating: Summary: Interview With The Vampire Review: ... a fine set of Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice. What a refreshing point of view and burning light to see vampires in. Rice gives us vampires with feelings - why shouldn't a vampire feel joy, pain and regret? Yes, bottom line is they are merciless killers, but this is the all-too often typecast image of vampires that Hollywood likes to betray. These immortals don't just sweep in with a dramatic flare of their capes (most of the time they don't even wear one), kill then leave - we experience their agony, hunger, happiness and turmoil before and after each kill. Anne Rice gives us so much more - imagine YOUR fears, regrets and hopes from your lifetime spread over an eternity. Would you really want immortality? What is right and what is wrong? Good and evil? The devil and God? Leave your humdrum life behind for a while and bury yourself (literally) in a world of fascinating, real characters in sumtuous, historic or sordid surroundings. Enjoy, but remember to put the lid back across when you're finished...

Rating: Summary: The Best Review: Anne Rice is the best modern writer on vampires. I have read them all and she rocks. The coolest scenarios and she reads like an intelligent airport paperback book writer. Her writing goes down easy like a comic book. I have written a book on vampires too if you are interested. It's called Seamus and Emer. It's available on Amazon so take a look. Good Luck! Bye Bye!

Rating: Summary: Passionate , sensuous , chillingly hypnotic , darkly moving Review: Anne rice pulls you into her world . Her characters become your lovers and your friends , there story haunting and shocking , touches you as if it were apart of your own reality. Her words utterly frightening and thought provoking , will have you turning page after page unable to put the book down .One of the few stories I have found truly unforgettable.
Rating: Summary: A must read for anyone who likes vampire novels. Review: Any one of these books could be characterized as one of the best books that I have ever read, but together the totally redefine the genre. They provide a total history of the evolution of vampire and how they have changed with the times. The vampires of Anne Rice's novels are not inhuman creatures: in fact they are more human than many of us. Anne Rice is a truly gifted author
Rating: Summary: Don't believe in Vampires. Must I? Great writing! Review: I bought Interview with a Vampire because I am open minded. Bought Lestat because I was told he used to be a good guy. Quuen of the Dammed because I wanted to see how the path had started. They are amazing. Like a concerto. Ann Rice is worthy of the Pulitzer prize for her ability to weave such stories. Not for one second do I belive in Vampires or such. I do not want to ponder the thought, but I do enjoy the trip. A PROCHAIN
Rating: Summary: Great! Review: I didn't know Anne Rice untill three weeks ago. I read her book 'Interview with a vampire' and i didn't stop reading untill i read it out. I love the story and the way she wrote it. The story is emotional, and sometimes a bit scary, but always beautiful, just like all of her other books. Anne, we love you!!
Rating: Summary: Simply the best Vampire writer around Review: I found this documentary of vampire life simply enthralling. Anne Rice writes so convincingly that her tales appear to be nothing less than absolute truths. Everything the modern vampire needs to know and understand is here. Unfortunately, I felt that the film of "Interview...", using Tom Cruise as Lestat did not do this literary masterpiece justice. As a film in it's own right, it is amazing, but after reading the rest of the Vampire Chronicles, it becomes blatently obvious that Cruise is unsuitable for the role he attempts to assume. The books are irresistable; impossible to put down. If you have not yet read them............what are you waiting for???
Rating: Summary: "...The Vampire Lestat. Remember Me?" YES! Gladly! Review: I guess you could say Lestat is the reason I enjoy reading! I hadn't picked up a book in years until a friend told me about "Interview." Being a journalist originally from Louisiana... I admired the way Rice made the concept of the interview so realistic! My all-time favorite book is Lestat, but I thoroughly enjoyed the history & final battle of "Queen"... & watching Lestat struggle with his own humanity in Tale of the Body Thief was a true page-turning experience! Rice's 1st four Vampire Chronicles brought Lestat to life and for that I'm eternally greatful... While I didn't care for "Memnoch the Devil"... the earlier adventures of Lestat will keep me coming back for more. He makes you want to believe in Vampires! Forget him? NEVER!
