Summary: Excellent. His best ever.
Review: I have read every one of his books and this one blows them all away. Even my longtime favorite, Watchers, was beaten out of first. Wonderful story line. However I believe you must read the prequel, Fear Nothing, first to get the full effect.

Summary: Thoroughly entertaining!
Review: During the last 40 to 50 pages of this novel, i got to thinking, "Man, Koontz must have taken both speed and LSD before completing this book!" This novel has the most fantastic, exciting and vividly descriptive ending Koontz has ever done. In fact, the book as a whole is fiercely exciting and berserk. Koontz blew up the brakes on this roller coaster ride and, in addition, smeared a powerful lubricant on its rails! All in all, a stunning piece of work. Chris Snow has got to be one of the greatest heroes Koontz has ever created-throughout both this novel and its predecessor i found myself wishing I knew someone like him here in the real world! I am frothing at the bit for part 3 of this trilogy. In my opinion, this is Koontz's most fast-moving, vivid, and just downright entertaining book Koontz has written since his stunner Dragon Tears, which moved like the aforementioned rollercoaster, but it was powered w/ rocket fuel. Anyway, if you want to have your nerves throughly shaken, read SEIZE THE NIGHT. It truly is a blast, and has got to be in my top five favorite Koontz novels. And just for the record, it is better than FEAR NOTHING, because it has a much more compelling plot and, thus, is more suspenseful. WARNING: For readers who have lost all childlike sense of wonder and are somber realists, this book is not for you. it requires substantial suspension of disbelief

Summary: Powerful Imagination Versus Bizarre Dialogue: Who Wins?
Review: Koontz really created a page-turner with the novel Fear Nothing, and it was a pleasant surprise to see a sequel on the shelves. However, Koontz seems to have the habit lately of trying to be too funny. (See Tick Tock or parts of Mr. Murder). In moderation, humor can break the tedium of a passage or create rhythm in a story, but the surfer dialogue really, really bothered me. I do believe that Snow would have talked that way to his friends, but with such fantastic plot devices and such an original story, why bother hitting us with that much brain-numbing lingo at once ? It was not laugh-out-loud funny and it was often jarring, especially during tense moments. All complaining aside, it looks as if there will be another sequel to this novel and I know that I will buy it the week it comes out. But Dean, man, give us a break! We are a public that is starved for quality suspense fiction and we really are pretty intelligent. Let us prove it.

Summary: Impressive; anxious for characters to continue in sequel!
Review: Completely enjoyed the first book, Fear Nothing and have equal praise for this sequel. I believe Koontz has a winner with the adventures of Christopher Snow and his friends. I love the easy lingo of this book and the humorous rapport between the main characters, not to mention the suspense that Mr. Koontz is known for. I'm anxious for the series to continue, as we are lead to believe that it will.

Summary: THIS IS A GREAT BOOK KEEPS YOU UP ALL NIGHT TURNING THE PAGE
Review: THIS BOOK AND THE CHARATERS ARE JUST GREAT.YOU REALY FELL LIKE YOU ARE THERE WITH THEM. IN THE GOOD TIMES AND THE BAD TIMES.AND YOU FELL YOU ARE ON THE SAME RIDE WITH THEM. IT KEEPS YOU TURNING THE PAGES. THIS IS A BOOK THAT YOU CAN READ MORE THEN ONE TIME.

Summary: Don't forget to turn off the light on the way out...
Review: Against my better judgement, having suffered through Fear Nothing, I allowed myself to be conned into listening to this. Never AGAIN. Mr. Koontz shame on you. Your main character is so egotistical, and obviously the centre of the Universe, that I was sincerely wishing the villians would send him sideways.... permanently. Also much, far to much, detail with far too little story. What has happened since the days of Phantoms and Watchers ? Obviously Mr. Koontz now believes his own publicity and feels he doesn't owe his readers anything. I assume that's what happens when you get rich and no longer need the money. Maybe Mr. Koontz should retire now before he completely ruins his once good reputation fo storytelling.

Summary: BRING BACK WATCHERS, MR KOONTZ
Review: IN SEIZE THE NIGHT, KOONTZ'S LIGHT CHALLENGED HERO AND HIS SURF DULLED BUDDIES TAKE ON THOSE ELDER GODS OF HP LOVECRAFT. GREAT CTHULHU MUST BE SHAKING LIKE A JELLY (HE DOES THAT ANYWAY, THOSE TENTACLES YOU KNOW) ONCE AGAIN, ORSON THE TALKING COMMUNICATING DOG IS THE BEST DRAWN, MOST SENSITIVE AND INTERESTING CHARACTER OF THE BUNCH. THE HERO'S BUDS PROFESS THEIR UNENDING LOVE FOR HIM, AND I HAD THE URGE TO SEE HOW WELL HE WOULD TAN. BRING BACK WATCHERS, VIVA STEPHEN KING, DOWN WITH DEAN KOONTZ.

Summary: Sequel is better than original!
Review: I was pleased to see that Koontz did a Sequel to Fear Nothing...with Seize the Night! The surfer lingo (as read by Keith Szarabajka)was a fantastic additon to the story. It was non-stop action...vintage Koontz with all his favorite elements: time-travel, smart dog, and more. I loved it!

Summary: why not write the screenplay and not bother with the book?
Review: The main character Snowman is well defined and interesting. I liked the book before last that Koonzt wrote, but I think that with this one he saw big movie $ signs. There is too much description, too much special effects, nothing makes sense, except on the screen I suppose, but the dialogues are still good and the relationships between the 3 main characters, and the cat and the dog are interesting, but please write to be published in a book form, or get a good agent in Hollywood and get a development deal.

Summary: Seize the Night will seize your days and nights.
Review: Koontz does it again!. The on going saga of "The Snowman" keeps the pages turning and your mind spinning. This story is so believable it makes you really stop and think of what may be going on around us. This was a great sequal to Fear Nothing and the way this ended it looks like we could once again have the opportunity to peak in to the strange and exciting life of Christopher Snow and friends in Moonlight Bay. Can't Wait!!!
