Review: I like Dean Koontz a lot but I wanted to shoot myself as I was reading this book. He gets to the point where you feel like Dean just likes hearing himself talk. It was distracting and annoying. It diminishes an otherwise good story.

Summary: Koontz is Slumming with this "Trilogy"
Review: "Seize the Night", with its paragraph-long, faux-humorous relections and descriptions, seems like the work of an author who is creatively bankrupt and bored. The characters are plastic, cartoonish, two-dimensional, and totally unbelievable. The surfer lingo is so annoying that I was actually (spoiler warning) glad when Bobby was shot. I wanted to shoot him myself. Dean Koontz has basically written the same book about 25 times (boy and girl fight bad monster together, etc.), and Seize the Night is no exception. It reads like Koontz had a bunch of half-baked ideas and he threw them all at the wall to see what would stick (little does). Genetic mutations, exotic diseases, Hell, time travel, serial killers--it's all here folks! Step right in! One last note, if I have to read the words "sussurant" or "preternaturally" again in one of his books, I think I'm going to scream. Doesn't Koontz own a thesaurus? Save yourself $8 and read a newspaper instead...

Review: Haven't seen much written about that awesome cat- mongojerrie. When he "high fived" Bobbie, I nearly cried. Long live brilliant kitty cats!!!

Review: This book has something for everyone: humor, suspense, characters you can empathize with, villians with no redeeming qualities -- you name it. Seize the Night and its sequel, Fear Nothing, should be textbook examples to other authors -- this is how you make reading enjoyable.

Review: Plot got a bit ridiculous with time travel thrown into a very solid plot base that I would categorize as being plausible in the first novel. Too much.

Review: I must say that I have been an avid reader of Koontz and found most of his books very entertaining (except for funhouse). This is a very solid book that brings humor and suspense together in the masterful way that Koontz can only do. But I must say that he does need to try a different character approach. In most of the books of his that I have read there is usually a guy, a girl, and a dog. Don't get me wrong, it is good reading, but getting a little old. Well, until Dean Koontz starts dressing in drag, he will be my favorite author.

Summary: Carpe Liber Libri!
Review: I travel 50 mins each way to work each day and listened to the audiobook version of "Seize the Night". WOW! I kept finding excuses to run errands so I could hear more! I loved Keith Szarabajka's narration which really brought the book to life for me. He was excellent in "Fear Nothing" and even better here. Dean Koontz kept me glued to the car seat for the whole unabridged duration and I eagerly look forward to the next installment. Thanks, Mr. Koontz! Keep Chris, Bobby, Sasha, Roosevelt, Doogie, Mungo Jerry and Orson alive!

Summary: Spine chilling entertainment
Review: A traditional Koontz style novel, the good ol' start-from-first-page-no-nonsense, non-stop action with great laughters. This is a must read if you've read Fear Nothing. If I could give it an eleven out of ten, I would. Simply Dean Koontz at his best. No doubt my favorite Koontz novel.

Review: I loved this book! it was the continuation of the "fear nothing" I read all of his books but these two are my favorite. The faith,friendships and humor are wonderful! Hoping for a third book on Chris Snow!
