Summary: Dean is back to his bad old mind numbing best.
Review: This is Dean at some of his best, lately his books have been lacking in substance, and the sheer "can't put this book down till I have finished" attitude he has displayed in the past. This one on the other hand was a one day read, to put it bluntly, I missed a day's work to be sure I could finish it without putting it down. I am positive that this trillogy would have to be THE gold mine for Hollywood, if Dean would ever sell the rights to it =) I personally can't wait for the final installment, and when it arrives, I can assure you that I will yet again be missing another day's work.

Summary: WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!!!!! COULDN'T EVEN FINISH IT
Review: I have read most of DK's other books and enjoyed them all, but this one is something eles again. After thinking myself extremely lucky to score this book from the local library, I couldn't wait to get it home and start reading. Unfortnuately it was so boring I could only read about 70 pages and am so disgusted with the lengthy drawn out descriptions, written in some new age style that I could not bring myself to finish this book. And once Bobby and Sasha come on the scene it only went from bad to worse, with their unbelievable dialogue and inane conversations in the middle of supposed suspense. I hope Dean gets back to his former style of writing that makes for enjoyable reading and not the torture this book was!

Summary: Loved it - More please
Review: I finished the paperback edition (bought in England)last night. Sasha was a shown in a new light, another reviewer, wrote "she was stiff". I think Mr. Koontz has opened a page.......(ex-CIA ? ex-DEA?) Same with Doogie. Bobbie and Snowman's banter is the same as in the old book, but Chris has a tendency to "woffle" a bit. In all a great read . The boat ? Mungogerrie and Orson are wonderful written characters. I can't wait for the next book, and by the way my favorite by him is also about a dog - and an surrealistic artist (can't raise the name right now).More please Mr. Koontz

Summary: Can't put it down
Review: I anxiously await the release of all Dean Koontz's books. His imagination makes for great reading. Seize the Night is entertaining, and bone chilling at the same time!

Summary: There were more monkeys.
Review: You don't read a book like this if you're looking for War and Peace. It was dead on the mark for this guy, with fun characters and an outlandish story. If you want classic literature try Shakespeare. This book was exactly what it was supposed to be.

Summary: If you can delay your need for immed.gratification, its Rad!
Review: Midnight, Fear Nothing and Seize the Night...three novels I have read over the past 12 months. And the only three I have read in the past 20 years. Dean Koontz has taken my passion for reading that I possessed as a child (but abandoned in early aduldthood) and made it fun to read again. The character development is thorough and makes it interesting to guess what each will do at every twisted turn. Keep an open mind and Mr. Koontz will carry you away in his imagination. I felt the first in the trilogy was superior, but am looking forward to the terrific(?) ending.

Summary: AM WAITING FOR NEXT Chris Snow ADVENTURE
Review: Yes, the surfer lingo occasionally gets irritating, but outside of that Fear Nothing and Seize the Night (the continuation) are in my humble opinion, Koontz best story to date.

Anyone who is a pet owner will be intrigued by Orson the dog, the cat, Mungojerrie and will surely feel for the poor monkeys. The main character having XP (xeroderma pigmentosum) adds an interesting/limiting twist. The main characters are positive. No negative waves here.

Just plain fun and exciting to read...everything a good SciFi/Fan/Horror book should be. I JUST LOVED IT. If you want to feel good than read this story. IT WILL PUT A SMILE ON YOUR FACE :o)

Summary: Poor writing; good story
Review: Dean Koontz has a fertile and intelligent imagination. But, sadly, he is not a natural story-teller. In Sieze the Night, the narration often wanders off topic; he struggles with prose; he doesn't always succeed in building and maintaining suspense. Mr Koontz needs a good editor. 2.5 stars for a potential 5-star novel.

Summary: THE ABSOLUTE WORST
Review: I was vacationing in Norway and, having read and enjoyed some of Mr. Koontzs' prior works, purchased this. I paid over 13 Dollars for the paperback and, not being able to finish this piece of wordy trash, decided to come on the internet to see if anyone else had the strength to wade through its labrynth of sophomoric similes to determine the ending, if there was one. I found, to my amazement, that some people not only completed this paen to Gidget but actually found it enjoyable. Some poor soul called it, *The Greatest Book I've Ever Read,* and others echoed his sentiments which, I guess, relegates their rich storehouse of *Masterpieces By Marvel Comics* to a second position in their library, albeit probably only temporarily. I only regret my inability to Seize Back my Money but nonetheless envy our Mr. Koontzs' ability to Seize his with this wretchedly written exercise in self indulgence, bereft of character, plot or even language that anyone on this planet speaks, with the exception of those with an I. Q. slightly higher than an after dinner mint.

Summary: Tantalizing/Intense - left me wanting more
Review: New to Dean Koontz, I now search Amazon for my next Koontz read. Sieze the Night audio, listened to on a long drive across dark night, kept me going and wanting more. Near the end of my journey I slowed so I could hear more of the book and continue on the journey with Snowman et al. Keith Szarabajka's oration of the written word was incredible. I WILL be reading more Koontz soon!
