Summary: Kellerman is great unlike this book.....
Review: I love Jonathan Kellerman! I have read all of his books and the only one I disliked was Butchers Theatre....til now. Monster wasn't a bad book it just wasn't typical Kellerman fare. If this was your first J. Kellerman book...don't give up now. Go back and read the earlier stuff and I'll eagerly await the next one.

Review: Jonathan Kellerman is one of my favorite authors, so his latest book was much anticipated. I began reading it, but it was hard to follow and vague in places. The plot was just so-so, and the characters were flat. I hope his next outing is back to his former crackling standards.

Review: This was a good idea for a story, but the telling of it was stale and wooden. Kellerman's usual spark was missing in this one.

Review: This book is a page turner and I like JK's style because he tells the story from point A to B without the irritating multiple stories going on at the same time that others like Michael Criton use. The characters are developed more than most, including his wife Faye, who can't describe Rita without using the words seder or minyon in the first paragraph. Sure it's not the greatests, but it is a definitive book by a good author.

Summary: Great first dose of Kellerman!
Review: This was my first Kellerman novel, and I can't wait to read another. While Monster started off a little slow and gave evidence that it wouldn't go very far, it exploded not long after and captivated me for the rest of the read. Although it does become somewhat predictable, its definitely a page turner.

Summary: NOT KELLERMAN'S BEST...BUT STILL ENTERTAINING
Review: Jonothan Kellerman returns with another installment of his Alex Delaware series...but his heart doesn't seem in it this time. A clinical psychologist himself, Kellerman seems determined to make this particular outing a cold, unemotional report of the events that transpire when a doctor is brutally murdered and stuffed into the trunk of her own car. As it turns out, this is only one in a series of brutal murders uncovered by Delaware and his long-time friend, Detective Milo Sturgis. Though the cast of characters are in place, and the plot is effectively set up and executed, the story feels flat and unfelt. As an avid fan of Kellerman's previous works, this one just didn't seem to reach its intended ambitious goals. Unfortunate and disappointing.

Review: I found this book slow and plodding for the most part. Some interesting premises but not taken as far as they could be. If you're into suspense thrillers, read Kleier's THE LAST DAY--probably the best suspsense thriller I've ever read. Also, King's THE STAND is a classic.

Summary: Kellerman's dark side
Review: I've read every Kellerman book and enjoyed all of them. This book though may be the exception. When I read a story I enjoy interesting plots, likable characters and some action. Unlike previous books where Alex and Milo played a special part in this book they could have been replaced with any two guys. The story just seemed dark to me with none of the normal relief.
