Summary: My first S.K. novel
Review: This is the only Stephen King novel I've read so far, and now I am hooked. It is one of the best novels I have ever read. The subtleties of the book are hard to notice at first, so it should be skimmed through more than once. I wonder how King felt writing from the perspective of a 75-year-old man.

Summary: A very good book, and it isn't nightmare causing!
Review: A must read. There is a masterful interweaving of believable reality and fantacy (which makes more sense than reality itself sometimes) Characters so real and themes so true it almost seems like it could happen. Beautifully written with characters (and their reactions) everyone can empathise with, characters that you feel sorry for when you see the whole picture. A book that deals WITH the whole picture and the small details that are just as importent.

Summary: My favorite S. King book
Review: THis book is definately my favorite S. king book. I have read it several times, and I probably would of read it several more if my sister's dog hadn't torn it apart. Even though personally I believe The Drawing of the Three is the best written (also a favorite of mine)Insomnia takes the cake. I might even go as far as to say it is my favorite book, out of all the books I've read. In no way is this book boring. This book has a full circle plot, and after finishing it I felt satisfied. A must read. (it also explains more about the Dark Tower, an added plus.) Much better than the recently published books.

Summary: King continues to be one of the greatest writers of our time
Review: Stephen Kings astounds me more and more with each book of his that I read. I can't believe that some dare to call this book a bore. Maybe for people that couldn't stand their English class and dropped out after the 8th grade, this book is too intense. That's the only explanation that I can think of for bad reviews of a book that is as insightful as it is interesting.

Summary: Patience is a virtue
Review: Although this book takes a few chapters to 'get good' it really is worth the wait. An unusual choice of heroes (two OAP's and their old-fart friends) allows it to stand out more than it should, and I have to admit I found the 'world of auras' idea fascinating. The inclusion of Clothos Lacesis and Atropos added to a really enjoyable book. The King scare factor wasn't that high, but it doesn't detract from book at all. Not quite up to The Stands level of being brilliant, but a decent read for the beach nonetheless

Summary: For all Insomniacs out there...
Review: If you have trouble sleeping, get this book! It'll knock you out in no time. Yes, Stephen King succeeded in writing the most boring book in his career. If you manage to get through the first 200 lid-drooping pages, you will be disappointed, because it just keeps getting more boring with each subsequent page. Makes you yearn for the days of book-burnings.

Summary: One of King's best novels to date.
Review: The plot is intriguing and keeps the reader guessing. This book is very comparable to Needful Things, which is also one of King's great works. Ralph Roberts is a wonderful character who stops at nothing to thwart the malevolence that plagues the story. A truly amazing book.

Summary: a true masterpiece
Review: This is a true masterpiece. It is one of King's most well-written books. To truly enjoy this book, one has to be familiar with the Dark Tower series, because when all is said and done, it IS a Dark Tower book. Events in this book will be very important in future DT books.

Summary: Original although forgettable...
Review: I think the whole book would result a very good short story and that is all. In some points of the narrative the book seemed to take off, but it was just an illusion. Climax could be far better. My feelings about this book? What a waste of a good idea!
