Rating: Summary: Okay Review: If you are looking for good photos and basic info on geckos, this book may be just what you need. On the other hand, if you want detailed information on certain species of geckos, then look for a different title. Many of Walls' writings are aimed at beginners, yet they are written as if the reader should already be familiar with the basic husbandary of various reptiles. Walls writes with a semi-funny "cutesy" tone in this book when he should providing the reader with notes on temperature requirements and gecko diets. The section about substrates is almost totally worthless. Walls also doesn't give enough details about UV lighting and diet supplementation, especially for day geckos (Phelsuma). One good thing the about this book: it gives info on the temperments of different geckos. Otherwise, don't expect this book to be anything special.
