It reads well, and has good pidtures, the ones that are commonly used in current dog books, all the same few dogs. It goes in-depth about things most people would buy a subject-specific book for: breeding, whelping, choosing puppies. It is a good basic, general, all around book. Would be useful to have for reference purposes or easy access to pieces of information one would normally read chapters about. GOOD PURCHASE!!
