Summary: Not What I Had In Mind
Review: I found this book very disappointing. Nowhere in the description does it state that a large number of the designs are ethnic-inspired (Asian and American-Indian). The designs are easy to understand if this is what you are looking for, but the description of the book implied that the designs are more traditional and this is not the case. All of the patterns are simple - too simple. There is nothing to them. And the color schemes chosen are not attractive. If this were the only quilting book I owned, I would probably not be quilting for long!

Summary: New ideas from British quilters
Review: This book is a collection of relatively easy quilting projects from five different British quilters. I liked it a lot because the ideas and methods are somewhat different fromr those found in many U.S. quilting books. I'm not sure if I would make any of the quilts exactly as shown in the book (the directions are very good, so you could if you wanted to!), but I did get a lot of great new ideas for projects.

Review: This is an exceptional quilting book because it features a number of beautiful quilts, AND the directions for the quilts are easy to understand and follow. Instructions are clear enough that even a beginner could tackle most projects, and the beautiful photographs make you want to! Great book.
