Summary: Too general
Review: "Pick one room, clean it. Next day or week do another one." It's a nice, logical plan. But that pretty much sums up the content of this book. If you've never cleaned before, or never read anything on how to take better care of your house, this is a good starter. I like the author's direct, breezy tone.

Also, somewhere in the product information, it oughta be declared that this book is gender-specific. Kim may be right in assuming that every single person who buys this book will be a chick, but I hate to think that it's true. Some of the messiest folks I know are guys, and I'm sure they'd like some help too.

Summary: Not only helped me to clean better, but helped me to save $!

Review: One reason I love this book enough to write a review is because I actually made some money because of it. The writer goes into detail about how to sell clothes on consigment. I never understood what consigment was nor how it worked. Once I finished the book, I rounded up all my old clothes, found a consigment shop and actually made some money off my "old junk". Being a shopoholic who spends way more than she should, this book helped me feel better about my purchases. Now I can wear something once, then sell it if I don't like it.

I also enjoyed the money saving tips as well as the declutting tips. The cleaning aspect is very detailed and infomative but I might just be a bit too lazy to do it all!!! But I loved the way the writer broke everything down into small, managable tasks.

Summary: My mind has been freed!
Review: The Big Clean encompases a lot of things, inculding the most important bit of info--how to get started. Easy to use and easy to follow, this book has helped me start slow in the cleaning process and has given me hope that I can be as organized as anyone else.
