Summary: An Excellent Guide to Corals For Your Reef tank
Review: There are very few books on corals which are suitable for reef tanks... a lot of beginners rush and get species which never live...or are incompatible..! this book guides u pictorially as well as informatively...thru the pro's and con's of keeping corals..how to chose, maintain, as well as about water conditions and how to stock the tank. Particularly useful to me was the mention of water standards as well as light requirements and the proper identification of the right species which was Just the choice made for me and my tank ! A must for every Marine Aquarists Library..who really love their corals..and want them to live...and at the same time be envious of the selection...the choce and the healthy sustainment of the species in the tank. No wonder they say.."NEIGHBOURS ENVY..OWNERS PRIDE !" when it come to keeping live coral tanks..and this book is the right guide to help u through... With Axelrods vast experience and excellent Pictures I recommend it to each and every Reef Lover ! Please feel free to contact me at prateepks@yahoo.com

Summary: Right choice for amateurs!
Review: This book doesnt have the following information: How to feed a coral, how often and what to feed, what type of lightning to use and how many watts to use, what additives to add to the water and in what quantity. The book is very poor in pictures content, the pictures are all blurry and the colors are all faded out, doesnt have any info on how to treat a sick or infected coral. The levels of difficulty of each coral are not very well presented and identified, the author identifies each with a color, and the trouble is the colors are very poor in quality and are all faded, a yellow is almost like an orange which is very similar to a red, and its confusing sometimes.

In sum its a book for a beginer but not for the advance aquarist. If you are on a middle or higher level do not buy it.
