Review: I picked this little book up, expecting just straightforward instruction on how to make useful knots for sarongs, ribbons, and neckties--which the book indeed delivers--but I was also pleasantly surprised to find some very lovely quotes, culled from literature through the ages, about the literal and figurative "ties" of our lives. Oliver does a wonderful job of introducing each section with thoughtful and engaging commentary, resulting in a handy, charming how-to, that is accessible, informative, and a treat to read! Definitely not your typical instructional book. I would even recommend it as gift.
