Rating: Summary: Great even if your not a pet lover! Review: After the first few pages you will agree that animals are people, too. Laugh and cry with the author as she takes you through the wonderful journey of her years of caring, saving and loving all of those beautiful collies. This is a book you won't put down until finished. There's an old saying: "Truth is stranger than fiction". This collection of true stories changes this old saying to: "Truth is better than fiction". All of the characters have a different personality. They speak to us through the author and reveal how they think and love and live, each one in their own individual way. It's a great insight into the wonderful world of anmial life.
Rating: Summary: How heartwarming! Review: I bought this book because I love collies and I loved the picture on the cover. How much more "spoiled" could two dogs be than swinging on the swing with their owner? Although I don't know why, I was delightfully surprised to find that this book is so funny and so sad at the same time. Each new story brings the tears, either from the antics of one of the authors animals, or sad tears from the tragedies they've suffered. This book will become one of your favorites that you will read again and again. I keep the book on my bedside table and pick it up to re-read favorites nearly every night. When is this author going to write another book? I can't wait. Thank you Beverly J. Hess!!

Rating: Summary: Great even if your not a pet lover! Review: I enjoyed very much reading about two spoiled collies. I have never been a dog lover; but the book makes you think "hey maybe I'm missing something". The book makes you laugh out loud! and makes you have second thoughts about dogs. . . .
Rating: Summary: Absolute must for animal lovers. Review: I really enjoyed reading this book. I found myself laughing out loud while reading about the collies and the cats and other animals, especially about Beauregard the cat up the chimney, Princess the collie and the policeman, and Frank's horseback riding, (something about road apples!) etc., etc., just lots of fun, although there are some sad moments also. They make great gifts, my fellow animal lovers are getting this book for birthdays this year. I recommend it.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Book! Review: Like everybody who has read this book, I found myself laughing and crying at the trysts these pets have had. It truly is a wonderful book, and thoroughly well written. It is a must have for any animal lover, or anybody who loves a good read.
