Review: Great comprehensive book of annuals, perennials and bulbs! Being a beginning gardener, I spent quite a bit of time deliberating on a choice for a general flower reference book. This book has proven its worth! There are general overviews of the three flowering categories, explaining how to integrate them into a well-planned garden. There are pages and pages of lavish photographs of individual varieties with info presented in a concise, reader-friendly format. Garden-store tags are often woefully incomplete, so this has been invaluable to me for getting the full scoop. I find myself looking at this book just about every day, if only to dream about the enticing flowers I'd like to plant some day.
