Rating: Summary: Patterns Missing Crucial Information Review: I borrowed this book from our local library and was interested in the Teen Tank but was frustrated to find that the pattern omitted the quantity of yarn required. Considering that the yarn proposed is quite expensive, "guestimating" the required yarn is not a feasible option. Just glad I borrowed instead of bought this book.
Rating: Summary: Disappointing-Projects are not attractive Review: I love the Vogue Knitting books but this one was a real disappointment. The projects may be quick and easy to knit up but they are clunky and not very appealing. I only found one project in this book that I would consider spending time making and that was the bag on the front cover. The rest of the book was basically useless.
Rating: Summary: Not Bad Review: This book wasn't wonderful, but it wasn't terrible, either. Quite a few of the patterns were hideous-- as a teenager myself, I can assure you that no teen would wear the "Teen Tank", for instance. Also, most of the projects were knit in horrible colors. However, I liked the two scarf patterns, the mittens, and the sleeveless shell. I recommend getting this book from the library before you buy it.
