The Basics of Radio Control Helicopters

Review: I found this book too basic. Most of the book is about choosing the right equipment. There are only a few chapters on flying. I found alot of this information by searching Deja News and reading rec.models.rc.helicopter.

Review: I really enjoyed the book. Read it from cover to cover, then again, before making the plunge and buying my first heli.
The book is somewhat outdated on a few things (gyroscope, radio gears), but give the newcomer a good understanding of what it takes to build and fly RC helicopters. As the title says, it only covers the basics, but does a pretty good at that.

Review: This book is very well setup and organized for the beginner in mind. It does not assume that you know everything, and by the end of the book, you'll know enough to finally fly a helicoptor. However, the tech info is slightly outdated (1995), but it is still very helpful. I'd strongly recommend it. I'd also recommend getting Milt's Helicopter videos too!
