Rating: Summary: "Boxes and Chests" is a big disappointment. Review: This book is a big disappointment and a frustration. It's obvious the Bridgewaters have the knowledge to build fabulous furniture but they have chosen to keep that knowledge a secret. With weak project sketches and ambiguous, discontinuous text, it is difficult to see how they breezed through point "A" to point "B." Their reading audience is not the beginning woodworker. The Bridgewaters assume the reader has a full array of wood planes and wood carving tools and knows how to use them without need for explanation. This is perhaps more a style book for the advance woodworker (I wish I were) who is in a rut for new ideas. Maybe they had a lousy editor?
