Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Techniques and problem solving
Review: Important: this is not a design book. You will be disappointed if you want yet another book of beaded amulet bag patterns.

However, if you have moved away from amulet bags and need help in working out problems on your own designs, this is the book to have. It covers beadweaving (off- and on-loom), wire work, soldering, tambour stitching, knitting and crocheting with beads, and a lot of use-it-right-now information on bead sizes, threads, cleaning, stone hardness, metals, and glues.

The shortcoming of the book is that it may be too broad in scope and not deep enough in detail. But that can be an advantage: if you are struggling with a technique, you can learn enough from this book to know what to do next, whether learn a different tecnique, go to a specialist book, or take a class. That's a hugely valuable tool to have. It saves money and time. And for professional beaders, that's a big plus.
