Summary: Very clear instructions and Great vintage pieces shown
Review: I couldn't wait until I owned a copy of this book! I love the instructions and all of the how-to information. I am currently trying to reproduce the roses on the cover. It is wonderful for learning and inspiration.

Summary: At last! I can do it!
Review: I have collected four or five books on the subject of making beaded flowers, and finally I have found one that works for me! The instructions are very basic and easy to understand. The illustrations are very helpful and clear, and the photographs in the "Fundamental Techniques" section are well placed so as to illustrate the technique being described. On top of that, the photographs are inspirational. Included are some beautiful vintage pieces, and many terrific modern works. The last section of the book presents five projects. I have gobbled up every beading book that Interweave Press has put out, and with this one they continue their record of excellent instructional books that also inspire.

Summary: Glad I didn't buy
Review: I was excited to find this beautiful book at my local bookstore. It has a nice history of the art of beaded flowers and very comprehensive instructions. The photos are wonderful of what the best of this craft are currently doing plus vintage items. But if you are looking for a good project section, look elsewhere. The only projects are for 5 little corsages or pins that can be worn on a lapel. There are no instructions for arranging beaded flowers. This book stays on the bottom of my beaded flower book stack. It would be great if they would revise this book to include some real projects.

Summary: An Excellent Resource for French Beading Technique!
Review: This book has a beautiful gallery and wonderful pictures, but there are only like 3 projects in the whole book. I can see how a very early beginner like someone who just decided to try this would like it but for more experienced flower makers you might find this book dry. I waited for weeks to get a copy of this book and found myself a bit dissapointed when I finally got it. I just expected more projects.

Review: Well I have looked into different books on beaded flowers and saw reviews of this book so I went to my local library and requested it. Well when I got it I sat and looked through it while I did like how the instructions were simple and clear I did find it was lacking in projects I got a few of the other books out there and feel they are much better. I did love the galeray of flowers in the middle of the book and would have rather had the patterns for some of those flowers instead. I will say if you really want this book find it at the library and copy the first few pages in techniques and return it. Don't buy it.
