Review: Great addition to my pattern stash. The patterns are lovely, and easy to read. The photos are beautiful and inspiring. I've alreay done several projects in the book. I think that I love the entire series of books that Leisure Arts has out.

Summary: Wonderful addition to any crocheters collection!
Review: I have already completed one of the patterns and as soon as I can will start another. Directions are very easy to follow whether you're a beginner or highly experienced. The book arrived very quickly and was in pristine condition. I will be looking for other items on the sellers list. Thanks!

Summary: Afghans for the older set
Review: I purchased this book based on the rave reviews, but after looking at it I think I will return it. The inside cover reads that the patterns are based on the best patterns collected over the past 60 years -- and they're not kidding. The book is a collection of patterns published by the Red Heart yarn company. The patterns are, in a word, dated. When I heard "crochet classics" I thought it meant timeless, but actually it means "old fashioned." I'm in my late 20's and I like simple, modern designs--this book just wasn't for me. Although a few of the patterns are very nice, the majority of the patterns are not to my taste. The book does not only have afghan patterns, but also also a few hideous 80's sweaters.

Summary: Something to please everyone
Review: I was taken with this book from the moment I looked through it. It has a diverse selection of patterns, and some very unusual ones (one of my favorites is a children's blanket crocheted and then embroidered with ponies which have tassles for tails--clever and appealing!) Several of the patterns are decades old and have been successfully updated for this book. This is my favorite collection.

Summary: Wonderful!
Review: I've been crocheting for years, and have gone through a lot of afghan starts and stops. This book has so many wonderful patterns in it that I've managed to finish two of them in a two month period. My only complaint (which isn't really a complaint) is that it only has two baby blanket patterns, yet has six Christmas patterns. Wonderful easy to follow directions, with beautiful pictures.

Review: When I got this book I couldn't believe the patterns in it. They look easy to make, and the pictures are beautiful. I can't wait to get started on a project from it!
