Review: The beauty of this book is its tiny size and quickness of projects. The first few pages are dedicated to a quick review of knitting, and then the fun begins. As the title indicates, most of the items featured are blankets, and some of them are just so cute! They use a variety of techniques, including three-dimensional textures (which babies love), color work, cable work, felting, entrelac, and stripes. One blanket looks so sophisticated that it can be easily expanded to be a grown-up blanket. There are both subdued patterns, emphasizing stitch texture, and more bold patters which emphasize color contrast and feature animals, etc. Colors can be adapted to any gender or nursery setting.
