Summary: Author Patricia Long is a delightful discovery!
Review: I have been a collector of Barbie, her friends, and all their fun accessories for over 20 years. I have a sound business in buying and selling Barbie and all the stuff that has gone with her over the years. Since I am in the business, I find it necessary to have a variety of books on the subject of Barbie and her world. I have not found a more helpful book in regards to Barbie's many accessories than THE BARBIE CLOSET. This author managed to find and photo many rare accessories. I was not even aware that some of them existed. The prices given are good averages, not too high or low. The photos have made my life a lot easier. Thank you to Patricia Long. Looking forward to your next book!

Summary: I needed this book.
Review: I know the author must have put in untold hours with this project, and it's a noble undertaking. Unfortunately, many of the photos are abysmal- they are blurry, dark, and grainy. Collectors like to see beautiful pictures of the lovely Barbie and her accessories, and that's why this book is such a disappointment. For fabulous photography and informative text, check out Barbie & Family books by Scott Arend, Joe Blitman, Sarah Eames, and Christopher Vareste.

Summary: A Barbie Collector's Dream! Tons of info. & great pictures!
Review: I was astounded at all the helpful information in this book. If you are looking for a guide loaded with prices, facts, and great photos for identification of Barbie, her family, friends, clothing, and fashion accessories you just have to get The Barbie Closet. I was also surprised to see that all the accessories, clothing, and dolls are individually priced. This is such a great help to collectors. Never removed from box, and mint and complete prices have also been included. This book has so much helpful information for collectors. This is by far the best Barbie book I have in my extensive library of Barbie books. I refer to it all the time. I also appreciate the author including such great photos to aid in identification. The Barbie Closet has all the right ingredients needed to make a great guide for collectors, and the only Barbie price guide of its kind.

Summary: Nice book
Review: OK, if you have: the 2 volumes of Sarah Eames and the Ultimate Barbie Book, then you don't need this book. It is nice in a way that fashions are presented on dolls and the dolls are presented by themeselves and described. Also the prices for the individual items are listed (and they are close to ebay prices / and prices I have heard from other collectors). Yet like the other buyer said close ups are blurry and some fashions have no pictures. I didn't find the picture's backgrounds distracting, but that is a matter of opinion. If you have the books listed above don't waste the money this one is worth. I have found several errors, mostly on the names and some acceosries, but nothing really big. I found it to be nice and I am glad I bought it, but if you are tight on money and you just want a good, easy, compact, fast, reference book get the other 3 better, with the money left you can buy some barbies!

Summary: Great Reference Book
Review: This is the ultimate book for those of us who love Vintage Barbie, but had a hard time putting outfits together. I never get tired of looking at it and identifying my lastest yard sale treasure!!
