Review: Basically, this is a puff piece, a literary kiss on the rump, to anyone who PAYS Curt Scott for space in his book. It is a fraud and lacks any credibility on any level. I hope the FBI and the IRS see what this guy's doing to defraud the replica car lovers out there.

Mr. Scott's reasoned, no nonsense guide is the necessary guiding light to making your replica car buying experience a satisfying one. The "10 Golden Rules For Selecting and Purchasing Your Cobra" article is, quite literally, the definative way to find an honest, quality kit car manufacturer. After a five year search for a reputable, quality kit and reading Mr. Scott's book, I was able to make an informed choice. That decision has paid untold dividends as I drive my Superformance Cobra Replicar. A knowledgable buyer is the unscrupulus dealer's worst nighmare. Be a nightmare, read this book.

Summary: The Incomplete Guide to Cobra Replicas
Review: I was quite disappointed in the layout and content of this "booklet." Difficult to imagine that the author has maintained an arms length relationship with the manufacturers he "reviews" since the "book" contains plenty of advertising by the same folks he's supposed to be assessing! If you know nothing about Cobra replicas you probably would get some information from Scott, but you could save yourself a lot of money and get the same information at his website, www.cobracountry.com, for free. The author does make the accurate point that reviews in kit car magazines found on newstands are absolutely worthless and encourages in depth pre-purchase shopping. Are these tidbits worth the $18.95 price? I think not. Were Mr.Scott to reorganize his work, remove the advertisements, and include more information pertainent to first time or novice buyers, than this could be a much better work. Consider it only if it goes on sale at 50%to 75% off.
