Summary: Cat Care
Review: Good info if you want to get some extra tips on cat care, and while some of the suggestions are expensive some are really cheap and handy. I'd lend it to anyone who wants to get some more basic in on cats but I wouldnt reccomend that they buy it themselves, there are other books out that that don't have the vegetarian diet chapter, which is pretty useless if you think that your cat should eat meat instead of some vegetable thing.

Review: I think this would be a terrific book for the new cat owner - in fact, I wish I had had it back when I first got my kitties. I've had cats for about 11 years now though so there wasn't much new in here for me. There were a few tidbits but now that I've readthem I'm ready to pass this book along. For the new cat mom or dad though this would be a must have since it does have some great ideas, tips and insights

Summary: Well-written, practical advice.
Review: I thought this was a wonderful book full of practical advice. The author's views and advice are definitely on the protective side (as you would expect from the founder of PETA!), but they are supported with anecdotal evidence, and I think most pet owners will agree with her cautions after reading this book.
The author uses heart-breaking true stories to illustrate many of her points. They are tenderly written, yet retain a sense of humor and practicality. I found this to be a welcome change from most (useful) pet books, which tend to be dry, fact-filled references.I may not be prepared to cook my cats vegan meals from scratch, but I still appreciated and enjoyed this book.

Summary: Superior Practical Advice For Cat Caretakers
Review: Ingrid Newkirk gives excellent practical advice on the physical & emotional care of cats.The average person may find some of the advice over the top but true cat lovers will be relieved to know that they are not alone in their devotion. My only disagreement would be her recommendation of a vegetarian diet.While I do have concerns about the content of commercial cat food, I feel that while humans can thrive without meat...cats probably cannot. It's also a bit of a leap of faith to expect that the average person can be counted on to ensure the cat consistently receives all the proper vitamins & minerals it needs. All in all an excellent book.

Review: Ingrid Newkirk has written a fine and interesting book. It is full of sound ideas and suggestions for our feline companions. I'm actually having trouble figuring out if I'm enjoying the book more or my cat.

If you're like me, your cat is a family member and deserves to be treated like one. The author offers suggestions on how to make kitty's life more enjoyable just by moving a piece of furniture close to a window so that kitty can look out. A window is a cat's TV. This is a great book, especially if you're thinking about getting your first cat.

Review: This book is information about how to travel with your cat and learn its body language written by an animal lover. It is not a list of things cats love when people do, as I had expected.

Review: This was a great book. It really lets you see it from the cat's perspective. I read it last night and my cat is more respontive. It gave clues about cat's body language and how to talk to them. I strongly recommend this book. :)
