Summary: Who Could Hope For Anything More?
Review: A useful book. I'm glad I bought it. BUT... inspite of the great format; the patterns were less imaginative than I'd hoped. Particularly disappointing to me was the preponderance of feathers--most of them involve a lot of double stitched seams. I'd hoped for more diversity of single line designs. Many of the designs also involved several stops and starts; exactly what machine quilters are hoping to avoid.

Summary: Great resource for patterns--a "must have"
Review: Don't pass up this little gem of a book. For just a couple of dollars you too can learn to machine quilt...and not just straight lines! This book will be part of my quilting library for years to come.

Summary: Excellent value!
Review: Exactly what I have been looking for ....continuous line designs for machine quilting. The designs are varied, and the instructions are very clearly presented for the most novice of machine quilters.

Summary: 60 Machine Quilting Patterns
Review: I am so pleased with this book. It is more than I had anticipated. It includes medallion patterns as well as borders and all over patterns such as clam shell. Instructions show where to start and how to continue. I believe it is a must for machine quilters.

The patterns are printed on one side of the page with the other side blank, for easier tracing or copying.

Summary: great bang for your buck
Review: Lots of patterns, very reasonable priced. I especially like the feather patterns.

Summary: excellent continuous line patterns for machine quilting
Review: These patterns are very precise and will copy easily to adjust for different size quilting areas. This book should be in every machine quilters library. The price is very economical for the number of patterns shown. The variety is very good. Hopefully others will offer more books like this at reasonable prices that the general public can afford.

Summary: A great beginning book for machine quilting
Review: This book has a lovely collection of qulting designs including floral, geometric, feather and naive quilting patterns. There is a detailed picture of the direction to sew each design and useful information for beginning to machine quilt.

Summary: Traditional
Review: This book is full of traditional mostly border designs. Very well-written directions. Can't wait to try them out.

Summary: Good Value
Review: Yes the quilting designs are tradtional but they are not pretty
and they are very hard to do. (Harder than this beginner could manage at least :-( Instead I would recommend their other book, Amish Machine Quilting Patterns, which is just superb but is not a complete replacement for this one.

The best thing in both books is the intro of how to package, hold and transfer the designs. Great ideas here. What is particularly special about this one though is that it is very good in giving you projects on building your skills. These sections could be invaluable (they helped me with my regular sewing) and should not be skipped. (The Amish book does not have the same skill builder section. )

So this book is a mixed bag and had the designs been prettier I would have scored it higher particularly because of the skills section, but I consider the beauty aspect rather important. This is rather subjective so look at this book and see what you need more. For the price it's a great tutorial.
