Rating: Summary: Not so new, not so special... Review: I had expected to have this book for quite some time, and was quite surprised when I read it. Far from being a tremendous amount of "new" scenery tips, it only offered SOME good pieces of advice for modeling special features like snow or ocean beaches. Otherwise, it lists techniques that have been used for years now for making trees and other mountains (actually other techniques not listed here give far better results)... No, nothing really new and a bitter taste when I closed the book. Overall printing quality is great as can be expected from Kalmbach Publishing, but for those of you that have read Model Railroader magazine for 4 years or more, the purchase is not necessary... Do I sound disappointed? I am indeed!
