Summary: Think like a cat review
Review: Before this book, I was going nuts with my two kittens. I didn't understand why they would scratch my rugs, walk on table tops and eat my plants. After having read this fantastic book, I completely understand what's going on in their minds (well, almost) and our relationship has gotten so much better. Now, I cannot even live without them and my cats have brought me so much joy in my life. This book made a difference between night and day... Pam knows cats best.

The book is easy to read, funny and really in tune with the cat owner in mind. She provides plenty of resources and information. Even my vet has to consult her book for understanding cat behavior! This is a must buy and every cat owner should have one on their bedside!

Summary: Understand your cat behaviour problems reading this book
Review: I bought this book based on an article on feral cats which was written by Pam. Curious enough I decided to check her book and I bought. I have 3 cats and I thought I knew everything but I was wrong! The book cover all the topics a cat owner should know and I recommend it if you are thinking about getting a cat.

The medical appendix is extremly useful and gives a brief description about common cat diseases. Her appendix helped me to explain better to my vet about what was going one with one cat of mine who was sick.

The behaviour tips are very good, and Pam really explain the importance of using interactive toys with cats, and specially important how to keep the peace if your house has more than one cat. Also the chapter about the litter box is a must-read. Many concerns about location, how many and which kind of litter are all explained

If you think about getting a cat this book has a very comprehensive description of what to look for. Her tips involve not only good sense but also important aspects people should observe when getting a new cat. The part about the shelter is certainly the strongest part and very nice explained.

I strongly suggest this book, for new cat owners and for experienced cat owners. I have read at least 3 times and I still use as my personal reference.

Summary: My cat is a much happier cat...
Review: I highly recommend this book to all cat owners! So many things made so much more sense after reading this book. I am much more adept at understanding my cat's body language, and I will be better able to recognize and address behavioral problems, should they occur. Learning how to play with my cat, groom her, and even talk to her has helped us to develop a wonderful relationship. My once timid kitty has become confident and affectionate!

Summary: A good cat book
Review: I've got one angelic cat and one demonic cat. I purchased this book in an attempt to understand the "bad" cat. We are doing better now. She was beating up on the other cat, scaling the door and howling when not allowed out, attempting to scratch posters off the wall, ect, ect!!! Thanks to this book, my demon cat is a lot happier, and so am I! The angelic cat isn't walking on egg shells anymore either, waiting to fend off bullying. This book is a lifesaver!

Summary: Essential for every cat owner!
Review: If you have cats this book is a must-read.

It covers every situation, teaches you to recognize the signals your cat is sending, shows you how to increase your cats well-being and gives you easy solutions to every behavior problem. The index makes it easy to look up specific topics and it covers things in a clear and easy-to-understand format.

If you read this book, I guarantee you will know your own cat 100% better and you will also be on your way to knowing much more about cats than the average pet parent.

Summary: An excellent book for cat owners.
Review: It's fun to read such a no-nonsense manual for cat owners. Clear, concise, but gentle in tone, this book covers all aspects of pet ownership, from litter box issues to poisonous plants.

The book asserts that most problems cat owners face are a direct result of misunderstandings -- misunderstandings that arise because humans don't understand the cat's point of view. One must admit this theory is compelling. I've had this book a year, and consider it indispensable. It's resolved several problems I thought were impossible. And I must admit that my cats seem a lot happier now that I've been reading this lady's writing. I certainly don't have any behavioral problems with either of them anymore.

Push all the other how-to manuals off the shelf. This is the only one you need.

Summary: This author must have been a cat in a past life!
Review: The author's insight into cat behavior is almost supernatural. After fostering over 100 cats through rescue groups, I recognize that this book is "right-on" with its suggestions and remedies. Well organized and easy to read.

Summary: Excellent and Now I'm Using the Litter Box!!!
Review: This hyphenated author's book on how to think like a cat is, I suspect, of some value. I purchased it in order to "know my enemy" as they say. In my continuing quest to better understand my wife's very annoying tabby (Bobo!), I thought I could improve my chances for "success" by reading this book. I was wrong. What you do get is this: Lots of cutesy, feel-good feline-psycho-babble that attempts to explain ridiculous cat behavior. I tend to think the explanation is simple (puny brain). No matter, this book tries to provide plausible explanations for all kinds of cat antics (particularly those annoying litter box ones) and how to reason with cats and influence their behavior (you might just as well attempt to teach a bear to play the electric guitar). I tried a few of these conversation-laden techniques in an effort to get Bessie's tabby to try some new "tricks" and leave the home (for good). The results have not been encouraging: Bobo is still annoying, my wife refuses to read the book (it would help HER!), and I'm using the litter box.

Summary: Great Book!!
Review: When I read this book about 2 years ago, I loved this book! I still make frequent references toward this book because it all the information a cat lover would need. This is the only book that a cat lover has to own, because it is so complete. This book helps you "Think Like a Cat" because it helps you understand your feline friend.

I highly reccomend this book and I think that any cat lover would really enjoy this book even if you are not planning to major in animal behaviorism.

Everything you want to know about your cat is pretty much all in this book, everything from medical advice to common cat problems.
