Summary: These are beautiful borders.
Review: The designs for borders are beautiful. They include Art Deco, Persion, American Country, and traditional floral designs. These stencils are a relief after viewing book after book of country (chickens, daisies, etc.). I found a better way of using the stencils. I had the stencils copied onto transparencies, then cut the transparencies. By using this method, if you make a cutting mistake the stencil is not ruined. Just make another copy and start over.

Summary: a fine resource for border stencils
Review: This is a terrific resource if you need border stencils. A two-page introduction gives you a list of instructions and the materials needed to complete your stencilling projects. There are 77 stencil patterns printed on medium-weight manila paper, and you will treat the paper with a linseed oil-turpentine solution before cutting out the pattern. There are many designs here -- rounded, square, wide, narrow, floral, geometric, Pennsylvania Dutch, simple and complex. Other books in the series are also very good.
