Rating: Summary: Still amazing... Review: This was the text for my Jewelry One course at art school five years ago, and it was excellent then. Though I've been painting since, I pulled it out last week 'cause I needed to make something- and it all came right back. Amazing amount of basic info, set up to use at the bench where you need it. More impressive now than then. Highly recommended.
Rating: Summary: Straightforward Review: Unlike many art books, this book is very straightforward and cuts out all the BS I have found to be in many Art books....It is the book used in the Jewelry Class here at Western Michigan U. All the examples are well illustrated, and the explanations are excellent. It covers everything from materials to tools and techniques ranging from elementary to advanced. Anyone who wants to get in to Jewelry Metalsmithing should get this book.
