Summary: Good ideas for those on a budget
Review: Contrary to the other review, not everyone has a lot of space and money to decorate for their baby. If you have the desire and a little creativity, some of the ideas in this book would work very well. With my first child, I thought I had to follow all the "rules" and most of my decorating & furniture came from stores which is fine but expensive. For my next child, I am going to put some of the ideas in this book to use. I love the idea of hanging a colorful canopy over the crib with dowel rods. Babies don't care that what they are looking at is made out of a butter tub as long as it's interesting and stimulating. Children grow too fast to spend a lot of money on infant decorations.

Review: Some obvious ideas of where to put the baby along with some ingenious ones I would never have thought of. It's a good first book on decorating for the first born with really charming illustrations - inspirational.

Review: This book is a joke. The ideas for making items for a baby's room is right out of pre-school. Margerine tubs for a mobile?!!!
Are you kidding me?! Don't waste your money on this book like I did unless you want to know how to turn your bathroom into a nursery (yes it's in there!).
