Summary: Composting the CRAP out of it!
Review: We have had the original book for 3 years now. We just moved onto 30 acres in the Amish outback of Ohio and have begun our first attempt at humanure composting. We had a minor problem and I contacted Joe through email. We had a personal response within 2 days! What other author can claim that kind of concern for his reading public? Even if you are not planning on composting humanure, this book is a great read and will open your eyes. If you are health official, BUY THIS BOOK YESTERDAY and take it to work so others can peruse it!

Summary: Humanure Handbook
Review: What a fun and informative book. Joe's ability to include much needed scientific information in a light hearted and comic way makes the reading truely enjoyable. Composting toilets are catching on for many reasons throughout the world and I see why this book has become a primary source of facts about the whole process of using human manure through a low cost composting method. I have actually used a toilet built to his specs--with the 5 gallon plastic bucket and saw dust--and must say it works. My wife and I are planning to add one of our own to a little cabin on our 80 acre tree farm. Have a laugh and learn how to reduce your impact on the Earth. Read the Humanure Handbook!

Summary: Southern California get practical and read this book.
Review: When I first read this book, I laughed a lot. I grew up near Barkeyville and am currently living near Los Angeles, CA. After showing this book to several of my friends, I realize LaLa Land is not ready to get this practical. But, they are softening. Thank you for giving me the means to show my friends how life doesn't have to be so sterile to be healthful.

Review: When I first saw this book on the shelf, I thought it was a joke. I picked it up, bought it, and it has been life-changing. This book is so much more than just completing the food cycle...its a philosophy on life, and a really fantastic one. The book has lots of witty, tongue-in-cheek humor, and some fantastic drawings (Illustrated by Joe himself, I assume!). Everyone should buy this book, and tell 3 friends to buy it as well. Way to go Joe, and best of luck with your new book!
