Review: This is a wonderful book put together by a woman who also worked on another Rodale book. With Rodale publishers you can never go wrong. This book compensated for a horrible quilting teacher!
Just note that there are drawings, not pictures, which is the only drawback that I could see. The drawings are clear and colorful, however.
The book brings quilting topics from A-Z, with advice from top quilters around the country. It gives you more than one way to do things and gives you great little tidbits like, change your sewing machine needle if the sewing is noisy and inefficient. Tada, like a brand new machine!

Review: This is definitely, hands down, the best and most comprehensive book for the beginner or just someone who hasn't figured out all the little details yet about quilting. The visual presentation is not only effectively illustrative/instructive, but very pleasing to the eye as well. I have four quilt books so far and this is by far the best. LOVE IT.

Review: When I began quilting I bought this book. When I bought the book, I took my time and read it cover to cover. I have an extensive library, and this is by far my favorite book. Now I teach quilting and I refer this book to my students. When I get stuck on a procedure or just want to see what the book says about something to get a fresh idea, out comes the book. This book literally covers everything from A-Z, and that is the way the book is designed. If you want to know what needle works best for a certain quilt procedure, check it out under N. It is really a must for any quilter, beginner to advanced.
