Review: Then this is the book for you!! Easy to read and understand, with many tips and suggestions to make your sewing more enjoyable and successful. I take it with me where ever and when ever I sew. Just the best reference at your fingertips to take the trouble out of tricky tasks and explain patchwork and quilting jargon which you may have heard but not understood. I could not do without it!

Review: This book has helped me a lot! I am a true beginner, I just learned how to use a sewing machine! There are literally hundreds of COLOR pictures and drawings that explain how to do procedures. I am making a baby quilt right now and I am teaching myself how to do it with the help of this book. All of my questions have been answered so far and I am learning a lot! There are advanced techniques included too, like the many different kinds of applique. I think if you are an experienced quilter you could get a lot from this book too.

Review: This book is an amazing reference, and a great beginner's book, because it covers EVERYTHING. It is easy to read and understand, and interesting to just flip through as well - the illustrations are lovely and informative, and draw non-quilters and quilter's alike to it.I also like the fact that it is not just one person's opinion on quilting - instead, each article is written by a different person, so it's almost like you are reading a mini-book written by everyone. The techniques described are simple and easy to understand, and the language is clear. Since it introduces you to a lot of different authors, you can often choose one you like, and follow their technique - find their books and enjoy what they have to offer. And if you don't.. well, there are tons of other articles to read! this was the second quilting book I ever bought, and I consider it a great investment. The price was also great, and well worth it for all of the information that I received.

Review: This book lives up to it's tiltle and then some. Wonderful how to tips,shortcuts, pictures, multiple ways to do the same tecnique, and a bit of quilting history for fun. List of vendors(addresses and phone #'s) for unique quilting gadgets. Short concise articles on almost any suject about quilting that I enjoy reading like a good novel. Written by a group of highly respected quilters from around the world. Truly the "Joy of Cooking" to quilters of all levels.

I wondered if the splashy cover and lots of color inside the book meant that it wouldn't have enough "meat" in it, or that the book would superficially cover too many topics in one volume. I was wrong. I turn to this book again and again for just about any quilting question I have, from the simple to the more complex. It is safe to say that I learn something new whenever I pick up this book to just have a 10-minute skim. It is wonderfully laid out, the illustrations are helpful, and a different expert writes each entry. I highly recommend this book for your quilting library.

Review: This is a great book on quilting. I am a beginner quilter and this book along with my other favorite, Your First Quilt Book by Carol Doak, showed me how to complete a quilt from beginning to end. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn how to quilt.
