Summary: Products no longer available - expensive disappointment
Review: As a first time mom-to-be, I bought this book hoping for ideas and inspirations for creating a nursery. The book is full of photos, but for the creatively challenged - no real direction as to how to get there. So I thought I would just copy a room. Well, what I did not know before I bought the book is that the Wendy Bellissimo company has taken a "hiatus" until the fall and pulled all her merchandise from retailers. Therefore, with the exception of a couple of pieces here and there that you must extensively search for, nothing from the book is available for purchase. Now this might not be an issue for some, but again for the creatively challenged, this poses a problem. I would have preferred more of a "how to get this look" with specific suggestions and guidance instead of what feels like a big advertisement for products that aren't available. Two other minor gripes. Although apparently sound, I did not expect what I consider wasted pages with parenting tips. I intentionally bought a book from a designer not a parenting professional. Lastly, too many family photos. Yes her family is gorgeous (and I genuinely mean that), but again wasted pages.

Review: I bought this book after my second baby was born and boy do I wish I had this when my first was born....actually no, I would have spent too much money designing my daughters' bedroom. Not only do you get ideas for nurseries, but you get ideas for birthday and even decor around the house to have a special environment for your little ones. I love the pictures and really put this book to good use in other areas. I HIGHLY recommend as a great shower gift.

Summary: Wonderful!
Review: I just received the "Nesting" book, and I love it! I was kind of stuck as to what kind of things I wanted to include or highlight in my daughters' rooms (we have 4 girls, 8, 6, 3, and 9 months). I am soooo in inspired! Thank you Wendy! The sumptuous photos, and descriptions just made the pages seem like a wonderful friend has joined my decorating "team". The included DVD really made the ideas come to life. I intend to add this to the baby shower gifts for my good friends! A must read!

Summary: love this book
Review: I just received this book from my friend as a congratulations (we just became pregnant with our first) and absolutely love it. I can't stop flipping through it, its so beautiful. I can't wait to start "nesting" myself and was excited to learn that Wendy Bellissimo has her products in Babies R Us. You can bet I'm going to be registering there. I highly recommend this book for first time parents.

I had wanted him to get more involved with preparing for the baby, now he's helping me decorate the entire nursery. Thank you Wendy for your vision and inspiration! Any take on this book that is less than stellar I just cannot believe! Nesting is simply a must have!

Review: I was hoping to find a book with unique ideas for a nursery. These are the same pink and blue rooms, but with just more hype and grandeur, that are for sale at Pottery Barn Kids. Nothing unusual, just on a designer's budget. I also felt that the majority of the book was a commercial for Bellissimo's product line of crib bedding as well as photos of her family.
Rather dissappointing...

Summary: Great Gift!
Review: I was impressed with the number of really clever ideas in this book. The pages are filled with a number of ideas that nearly anyone can do--not just the rich and famous, for whom Wendy does most of her work. It's clear that she's most interested in true family-building--things that provide comfort and growth to children--not just stuff that is for pleasing adults. The book would make a great gift for baby showers.
