Rating: Summary: Instant education for the future buyer Review: A well formated book that will no doubt become the standard "field manual" of the Rolex collector.
Rating: Summary: A bargain at twice the price !!! Review: Great book, full of valuable information. Expertly written, beautiful presentation, and equally useful for the Rolex novice to the aficionado. Detailed info on movements, parts and counterfeits not found in other books. Good job!
Rating: Summary: GREAT CHRISTMAS GIFT !!! Review: I got my first Rolex for Christmas (last month), as well as a copy of this book. I have enjoyed reading it (almost) as much as I've enjoyed the watch. :)It has really helped me appreciate the watch that much more and I would recommend it to anyone. This is a great book that every Rolex owner should read.

Rating: Summary: A valuable resource for the Rolex collector. Review: I received this book as a Christmas gift from a business associate last month. I found it to be a valuable resource for identifying genuine, as well as "doctored" Rolex watches. I'm sure I will refer to it on a regular basis, and I will recommend it to all of my friends.
Rating: Summary: A must have reference source! Review: It's very simple, if you own or want to own a Rolex watch of any pedigree this book can help you know about it and/or make sure you're buying the real thing. A must have for both the photos and the data. Period.
Rating: Summary: Better than advertised !!!!!!!!! Review: Let me start by saying that I am not one of those Rolex snobs. I'm not into status symbols, nor am I the kind of guy that goes out and tries to impress people with high priced gadgets. I recently inherited an old (1940s) Rolex "Bubbleback" from my grandfather, and I simply wanted to educate myself a little on the watch.
I had been reading the many "glowing" reviews for this book for a few months now, but just recently decided to order it. I must admit I was very skeptical and the reviews almost made it sound too good to be true. But, it was around half the price of the other Rolex books on the market so I gave it a shot.
Well, after finally reading it, I can honestly say that the praise for this book was 100% justified! I had very high hopes and it didn't let me down. In fact, I would say that it's even BETTER than described (if that's possible).
I learned more than I could have ever dreamed, and I find myself referring back to it on an almost daily basis. The author did an excellent job. It is extremely informative, yet it's also very enjoyable to read. He covers everything you would ever want to know about Rolex, including an impressive section on identifying fake Rolex watches (worth the price in itself). The only negative thing I can say about it is that it has now gotten me "hooked" on Rolex. I have a new found respect for the company and a deep appreciation of their watches.
In the past I had simply thought of a wristwatch as something you wear on your wrist to tell time. I had no idea how much history was associated with the Rolex company. Again, the author does a great job of educating you on the history of Rolex, while not boring you to tears.
Now I find myself looking to see what kind of watch the guy sitting next to me is wearing. In the past I would have never even considered paying $4000 for a wristwatch, but last week I went out and bought myself a brand new Rolex Submariner for my birthday.
I still don't consider myself to be a Rolex snob. But, I have always appreciated quality, and I have no doubt that this new watch will one day be handed down to my son when he graduates from college -- he's only 5 now, so I should get some pretty good use out of it until then :)
Bottom line, if you own a Rolex, or just have a casual fascination with them, then you MUST own this book. But beware, after you read it you may develop a sudden urge to go out and buy two or three very expensive Rolex watches. Then maybe the author can write a new book: "The 12 Step Program For Rolex Addicts."
Hello, my name is David Jasper, and I am a Rolex Addict...
Rating: Summary: Can you say the COOLEST Rolex Book ever ?!?!?!?!?!?! Review: My wife got me this book last month and I couldn't put it down. I read it straight through. I was very impressed with both the quality of the presentation, as well as with the content. Then I was shocked to discover that Mr. Brozek (the author) actually SELF PUBLISHED this book himself!! The quality is equal to that of a giant publishing house, but without the high price tag. All in all, very impressive! Glossy pages, great illustrations, etc...
I have since contacted Mr. Brozek (his e-mail is listed in the book), and he was nice enough to answer some questions I had about one of my watches. This guy is a walking encyclopedia of Rolex knowledge, and a heck of a nice guy to boot!
Unfortunately I made the mistake of bragging about the book to a friend. He borrowed it last week so I'll probably never see it again. LOL !! Oh well, that'll teach me to open my big mouth !! But this is one book I wouldn't hesitate to purchase again.
But seriously, this is a wonderful book. If you have any interest in Rolex watches you really should check it out.
Rating: Summary: Simply a MUST HAVE book! Review: Over the years, I have purchased DOZENS of books on Rolex, but they simply pale in comparison to the VOLUMES of information contained in "The Rolex Report". This book features a very interesting and beautifully illustrated history of the Rolex watch company. Also included are individual histories of the more popular watches they have released. The section on counterfeits is just amazing, as is the section on parts, prices, "basic operations", glossary of terminology, faq... I could go on and on and on. I have owned the book for only a few weeks, but I have read it cover to cover FIVE TIMES! In my business I travel quite often, and take it with me to read on the plane. It always seems to start a good conversation with the passenger sitting next to me. Last week I was seated next to a gentleman who was reading THE SAME BOOK. For the entire plane ride we talked about Rolex and this fine book. I would like to congratulate the author, John E. Brozek, on a remarkable accomplishment in researching these fine watches. You obviously love your work, and I'm very envious. From a fellow Rolex-aholic I commend you-- WELL DONE!
