Summary: An Absolute Must Have!
Review: Are you in tears, frantically wondering how on earth you're ever going to be able to afford to get married? Well put down that darn Martha Stewart book and go buy this one. It's absolutely wonderful. It'll show you how to outsmart the bridal industry and actually have a good time planning your wedding. It's saved me over $1000 so far and I still have tons to do. I devoured it in one sitting the first time I read it, and I've referred back to it countless times since. When I'm done, I'm passing it along to all my newly engaged friends!

I also highly recommend the Bridal Gown Guide. Arm yourself to the teeth with knowledge before you go in those shops - you'll need it!

Summary: Brides-to-be can't "be" without it!
Review: This comprehensive guide gives great money saving tips and insights to the unsuspecting bride. Unless you have an unlimited budget and the brains of Einstein, you need this book! From buying your dress to the champagne toast, this book provides vital information on the bridal industry and how to avoid becoming its victim. Each chapter is easy to read and filled with great ideas. While your head is in the clouds dreaming of your perfect day, this book is a great reality check! I won't let go of my copy until the wedding, but after that, it will be the perfect engagment gift for my next lucky friend.

Also, if you like this one, the same authors offer another book just about shopping for dresses. (I wish I had found it before buying mine.)

Summary: A must-have for every bride
Review: When I bought this book, I read it cover to cover. I've used many of the tips already, and my wedding isn't until October 1998! I have saved almost $250 right now thanks to Bridal Bargains. It has many real life suggestions that don't sound hoity-toity. After reading many bridal magazines, it is refreshing to see honest advice from people who really know what the bridal industry does to unsuspecting brides. Ditch the magazines, and buy this book. You won't be disappointed.

Summary: BEST MONEY CAN BUY!!!!!!
Review:

This Book is the best book I have ever seen and the absolute most informative. I was shocked to find out all of the things that go on behind the scenes, and even one of the places I considered getting a dress from was on of the worst, I was treated so badly, and this book showed me that I shouldn't have stayed there from the get-go! It is a must have for ANYONE that is not bubbling over with money!

Summary: Great engagement gift!
Review: I've never gotten married, and I don't have plans to, but I keep recommending this book to friends I know who are getting engaged. I just wouldn't want any of the pitfalls outlined in this book to happen to anyone I care about! Don't get married without reading this first!

Summary: Bridal Bargains: Number one choice for all bride's-to-be
Review: Denise and Alan Fields have obviously done their homework and have given brides the tools to tackle the players in the bridal industry-- from the caterer to the photographer. They list questions to ask each vendor to prevent the bride from falling prey to industry scams. The authors also updates brides on the lastest trends for all wedding budgets. I found out how to get engraved invitations on Crane paper for a fraction of the retail price!!!

Summary: Great whether or not you're on a budget
Review: Even if your parents have given given you carte blanche, this is a great book, as it explains pitfalls at every stage of the wedding process, such as why you might not get the dress you ordered and ways caterers inflate bills. I learned a lot and expect my wedding plans to go more smoothly because of it. This book isn't about having cheap weddings; it's about not wasting money or being cheated.

Summary: A must have for all brides-to-be!!!
Review: I read this book cover to cover; then I read it again. It is helping so much in planning my wedding that I don't even know where to begin. Guaranteed to save to $500 off your wedding expenses, it's worth every penny spent on this one! I found a dress for $590 thanks to this book. Also has tips on ceremony sites, recpetion sites, finding a photographer& videographer & more. A real must have for all brides

Summary: Here's a reality check for Martha Stewart
Review: If you've recently picked up a copy of Modern Bride, or a wedding planning guide by the likes of Martha Stewart, you might get the impression that only the Sultan of Brunei can affort to get married. Bridal Bargains is a good reality check for the rest of us. Not only will this book help you save money, it will tell you how to get the most for every dollar you spend on wedding services. The authors uncover many of the rip-offs and outright scams that go on in the wedding industry. Did you know that the average wedding dress, which costs around $1,000, is made to be a disposable garment? That the award-winning photographer probably sends his less-talented assistant out on wedding shoots? If you're planning a wedding, read this book and be a smart bridal consumer

Summary: Answers to all the questions
Review: This book was one that my fiancee and i have read through at least 3 times each. It's a super reference for those who have no idea what to expect or where to get started. I actually kicked myself a few times when I did not review a section before visiting a vendor. These tips are REALLY useful. Even the ones you don't use yourself. Of all the books I was given or bought when we got engaged, this was hands down the most helpful. Compared to this one, none of the others were even worth the paper on which they were printed.
